  1. Stolen Tail Lights

Harbor Freight sells a couple of different sets of security screwdriver bits. $10-$20. One-ways are good. Most places that don’t want screws removed use an Allen (hex) screw that has a pin in the middle. A regular Allen wrench cannot get a purchase. The HF sets have a hex head with a hole for...
  2. Please read if u get in a automobile wreck with your lightning

I went off the road into the ditch once in a diesel F-350 with two batteries. Airbags did not deploy. Engine running, no fire/smoke. Firemen cut the battery cables. Gone are the days of nice red and black battery cables for under $10. Everything was strung off a $750 harness. Add tax and a hefty...
  3. Please read if u get in a automobile wreck with your lightning

It would be wise to print these out, laminate them, and have them in your truck.
  4. Stolen Tail Lights

They were probably cloning the fob, likely hung on a hook inside the door. A Faraday bag, sold on Amazon and elsewhere, will shield your fob’s radiation. It was like they had a key because they DID.
  5. Please read if u get in a automobile wreck with your lightning

Have a chat with your state’s insurance commissioner or similar. Many states have laws as to when an insurance company MUST total: some are that repairs are 70-80% of the current value. I forced a moralization of a new Toyota RAV4 by a complaint to the insurance commissioner. Insurance company...
  6. Is this a slimy dealer GPS tracker?

I wouldn’t return it to the dealer.
  7. Stolen Tail Lights

A horrible price. I heard a Lightning tailgate is $10,000. The eBay taillights may be stolen, but more likely are Chinese. Even $1400 is rough. Beware of some “notices” posted on other Lightning sites, offering parts from a totaled Lightning. They show pictures of the wreck; clearly a Lightning...
  8. Rodent damage :( help on where?

Good idea. Thanks. Amazon sells stainless steel wool and copper mesh.
  9. Rodent damage :( help on where?

All excellent ideas. I didn’t know about the capsaicin tape; I’ll get some. The peppermint oil is a worthwhile idea too, as is the sound machine. Many thanks. Why the automotive industry doesn’t add capsaicin to their wiring instead of soy, I don’t know.
  10. Rodent damage :( help on where?

I had had problems with mice and rats. The country versions, but still the same. I had a new Toyota RAV4 hybrid that the insurance company (yes, covered by your insurance) sunk about $15,000 into and then, at the gentle urging of the State Insurance Department, totaled it as unrepairable. Toyota...
  11. Dog Mode

I have a simple trick. In the first screen, click Entertainment. Then the doodle app. Write something like the attached. Save it for the next time. Leave it on the screen. Under the second tab, hit vehicle. Change the first tab to off. Truck won’t time out.
  12. Campground charging checklist? What do I need?

On a hot summer day in Texas the current flow for air conditioners will be 24/7.
  13. Two EV techs required by Ford?

I think the consensus is most have 1 EV tech. I’m not convinced they need 2 certified techs to drop the battery. Two people, one EV tech and a helper. But, what do I know. Taking advantage of the iPhones built in call recorder. (Latest iOS version).
