  1. Tesla fires whole Supercharger team [Update: Musk says supercharger growth will continue]

Sandy is letting the koolaid get to him one ENGINEERING reason to keep the SC team mostly intact. The Cybertruck uses 800V architecture. Currently no SC can output enough voltage to make use of that capability. Even at the current reduced 250kwh, the charge handles and pins get so hot, that...
  2. Frunk stuck - FIXED!

The truck releases the first catch and the strut moves the hood up an inch and then the second safety latch disengages and the hood then opens the whole way. If the strut doesn’t push up initially, the sequence doesn’t go through and the hood doesn’t release.
  3. Frunk stuck - FIXED!

Sounds like the start of frunk strut issue. The design is poor and water gets into the connection and corrodes it
  4. A2Z Tesla and Charge Fault

gotta say. I was on the fence about ordering the A2Z adapter or just wait for my free one from Ford. The customer service and response to potential issues shown by the A2Z staff/owner on this thread easily pushed me over the edge. I ordered one last night
  5. Take the "guess" out of the "guess-o-meter"

I was one of the first people to take delivery in Early June 2022. The guess o meter was insanely accurate for the first 6 months. Both around town and on a couple of long 2000 mile road trips at highway speeds. It was fantastic. Then the social media influencers started to take delivery and...
  6. Cybertruck rescues Ford Lightning in New Tesla Commercial

Of course the guy has a man bun
  7. Cybertruck light towing range test - 115 miles !

Pretty bad numbers for CyberTruck towing an easy load (Model Y) at low-ish speeds. 115 miles from 100-0%. Or a real world 80 Miles going from 80-10%!!!! Way worse than Lightning in a similar test which gave more than 180miles towing a Model 3. Full thread on the main CT forum. CT Thread Here
  8. Come backs when people tout the CT as being magically way better than your Lightning

One very telling thing is there are no grab handles on the pillars, front or back. Don’t know about you all, but we use it daily to pull ourselves up into the truck. It’d be difficult to get in and out of a truck without it. Clearly shows a truck designed by a non-Truck company for non-Truck...
  9. While we wait for Ford's OTAs, here's what Tesla dropped today

I’d rather have an available and working truck for a reasonable price than an unavailable $120k “Foundation Series” surcharge on a truck that they can’t produce the batteries for. If the Ford software isn’t as slick, it’s more than made up by the fact that Apple CarPlay is available.
  10. Cybertruck Prices and Trim

To the poster that asked. Yes I would have bought a CT that was promised at launch. The features that Musk promised that I was most interested in, as a contractor: fantastic range to price ratio Great size 6 seats Folding midgate Power ramp in tailgate now 4 years later, we get none of that...
  11. Line-X Sprayed Grill

Thank you OP. Was thinking about getting this done because the gloss Platnium grill on my truck looks like it’s gone 200,000 miles instead of 20,000. The gloss finish seems even more fragile than the Lariat/XLT grey plastic
  12. What other EV do you own?

I3. it’s the perfect opposite of the Lightning. Whenever we go to a place where parking is tight, we take the i3, like to a nice restaurant downtown. We would otherwise be circling the block for half an hour looking for a place I can fit the Lightning. Or a quick Costco run where people act...
  13. Black Grill to replace grey boring OEM (yes, I've seen the wrapped photo)

FWIW. The gloss black on my platinum is full of small chips and road spray after only 1 year of 50/50 city hwy driving. It’s not durable at all. But I think I’m asking too much for that much real estate exposed to driving conditions. And yes it’s white underneath the chips. So I’d save the...
  14. Actual Contractor using Lightning Pro for real work (video)

Mine is used as a work truck on a daily basis. I even tow occasionally!
