I used a Milwaukee carbide hole saw and it had the center pilot bit which is a must. Otherwise it’ll fly all over the place and destroy your panel. Make sure the pilot bit is in first. The actual area is relatively flat so it’s pretty easy if you just stay steady. It’s very thin plastic so any...
Yeah you can see it in the second picture of the hole in the dash. It’s just sitting back there. I never ever use it otherwise I would have found another place for it. It’s pretty small so I think it would be easy to put it somewhere else
For anyone thinking about cutting their OEM panel, I ended up doing it with a circular saw and it cut clean and easy. It definitely sags a little bit in the front center if you put weight on it but the sides are still stiff. I didn't add a hinge or anything to hold it but I think that would...
Anyone know if it's easy to just replace the trim? It looks like it goes deeper behind the glass. I was able to find a picture of the mirror with the glass taken out but I haven't found anyone who actually takes the plastic apart.
I cannot imagine not having it this way. Since I bought the truck the only thing that I really couldn’t live with was the crappy shifter. The knob is very intuitive and I never really think about it or look at it while I spin it. I really did it because I wanted to have the surface down while...
Console to Rotary Shifter 2023 Lightning Platinum ~$200
Hey guys, I tried to be thorough here but if anyone has any questions or if I forgot to mention something let me know I’d be happy to explain further. I saw this mentioned a bunch of places but didn’t see it done anywhere so I thought I’d...

Can anyone confirm what the chime sounds like? I have a 23’ Lightning Platinum and 99% of the time it makes the familiar Ford loud high pitch beeping chime. I’ve had the car for a few months now and maybe 5 or 6 times it has made this much lower pitched and more gentle chime. I’m beginning to...

This is exactly right, I mentioned it in my full post on the other forum. I didn’t want to post it here because it’s a bit repetitive but it’s more detailed and it’s all in one post.

Yep that’s the one. First thing I bought for the truck. Had the Putco ones on my last truck which were heavier and more solid but these are great too. They’re half the price also.
So the dial I got is from eBay it was $90 brand new. Comes from a ford escape. I’ve attached images of the listing with details.
In place of the original shifter I put the OEM Cubby that fits a truck with the column shifter which cost around $50 with the rubber and plastic inserts. I’ve attached...
Trust me it wasn’t easy to make that first hole in the trim haha. I called ford first and found the part number. $250 if I totally butchered it but ended up being ok
