They did not explicitly say it was ready - they said they require a week advance notice on recall service and I'm assuming that is to see what it involves on their end. I'll call the day before to confirm it's going to happen, but I'm optimistic since it's software?

Will do. After previous experiences, will definitely be squeezing the brake controller randomly during the trip to see if it's still connected.

tailgate / hitch cam seems to get dirty and blurry easily / quickly. Car wash doesn't fix it, find it helps to do windex paper towel. The bed cam on the other hand always seems lower quality, 1987 VHS vibe, almost as if because it's aimed at an all black surface it's distorting?
