Update from Last week as I received the 4.2.1 update, sadly, still the same UI with no Camera button. But, hey, i did get the email promising me youtube streaming that is not there either.
Does anyone NOT in the EAP have the new interface?
Maybe the 4.1.X updates were for EAP and 4.2.X updates were for the public. 4.1.1 and 4.2.1 were nearly identical, which means 4.2.2 would bring new interface and 4.2.3 Will bring YT, etc.
...update was 3 months of hell and several bad experiences with the Dealer and OTA support. I have been on 3.5.4 since last November. Received 4.2.1 late last week while I was traveling. Was excited to see some UI changes, but alas, still no Camera icon on the home screen, which honestly is...
...update (nerf?). The previous two updates gave me a heads up. Today, about 30 min after getting home my phone notified that I just installed the 4.2.1 update. No warning, just POOF! Here ya go! Haven't checked yet if I have the new UI.
I'm wondering if the visual glitch I had this morning...
I got the 4.2.1 update last week, modem came back for a day or two, but then dropped out again. It's definitely not fixed for me. Dropped the truck off at the dealer this morning.
Received my 4.2.1 on 03/16/23. very surprisingly enough. Already had to pull fuse 32 on Friday 03/17/23 and again Sunday 03/19/23 in am. The 4.1.21 update did not fix mine. I’m good for approximately 48 hours at best before connectivity issues overwhelm my modem. Ridiculous to say the least.
Hello I thought it was supposed to as well. I got my update last week so far so good it’s been working great. I was disconnecting the battery or pulling the fuse at least once a week or more but I have heard some people still having to do it. I’m hoping it’s fixed.
...charge in settings, but only in the last 2 weeks, and one of those I was in Orlando anyways.
I also can share, as I was certainly one of the complainants, that on 4.2.1 I’m not having modem issues, but that is only a week in, so I’ll hold on thoughts until a few updates in, just for good...
They are definitely non-sequential based on prior experiences, and not linearly dependent.
Who knows for sure, either you will eventually receive 4.1.3 (visual enhancements) or it might go out to the catch-up groups as a 4.3.x or maybe 4.4.x, it's a guess exactly what is coming next.
I don't understand how you can have someone on version 4.2.1 and someone else on 4.1.3 with the person on 4.2.1 having less features.
Ford has a very *cough* unique version numbering system.
I suspect it will come in time, the recent updates were to fix a glitch, many folks in this special loop have experienced exactly what you observed.
Now the catch-up process begins, just need to wait for it to come in a pretty random method of distribution.
Ford isn't pushing all of the updates to all vehicles. It looks like they're leaving some out of the fancy updates for stability issues. I went from 4.1.1 to 4.2.1, no ui upgrade yet.
I got my truck in Feb and got 4.1.1 the first week and then I additional updates until last week when I got 4.2.1. The text with the update is the same. "This update sets you up for all future updates" text that was on 4.1.1. Not the, "this update addresses connectivity issues" that others have...
I had the TSB 23-2050 done which increased the mean time between connectivity failures from ~4 days to ~3 weeks. After the first failure post the TSB I pulled fuse 32 to restore connectivity and the next day after a drive I received the 4.2.1 power up update
