Thanks for adding the MY component. It seems like when 4.1.2 was rolling out, very few posters with 2023 MY were receiving that update with the new UI. I'm a 2023 and never received it and am still on the old UI but have received 4.2.1.
The old school chime seems to happen if the Sync system is slow to boot up. I had the same issue with my ‘18 ICE truck and I’ve seen it on the Lightning. If I start the truck without my seat belt on the first couple of chimes would be old school but then it would switch. I’ve never seen the...
Good to know this, I haven't been overly concerned about this figuring it was just a remedy for the MY23 communication/modem issues. Have you noticed anything different since getting it?
...their "VEHICLES" data as order/delivery conditions warrant, this nugget of information is very helpful (without having to ask) what people are driving when reading and diagnosing situations.
Seems to me that mostly MY2023 trucks are getting 4.2.1, are there any MY2022 receiving this update?
...also suffers from modem issues. The 23-2050 TSB was performed by my dealer a couple weeks ago and did not fix the issue. I understand that the 4.2.1 OTA is supposed to fix it. But like many others have expressed, I don't think my truck is capable of getting OTA's... The last one it "received"...
I also got the 23-2050 TSB installed before it was pulled, and also have not received any updates since Feb 2nd, when I got 4.1.1. I wonder if getting 23-2050 made us “ineligible” for 4.2.1?
...App that I should be soon receiving the latest Ford Power-Up. AND this morning I was happy to find my truck had successfully updated to 4.2.1.
However, 10 days after my call to theFord Over-The-Air (OTA) team, I still have not received the follow-up call I was promised from Management. And...
...times and would not close. I manually closed the frunk and it operated normally after that. Later that day the truck did a software update (to 4.2.1) and the app was connected normally.
This seems to be very similar to how things behave when the 12V is disconnected, which I did not do. I...
You’ll need to pull the DTCs in order to figure that out. If you don’t have a code reader, I think there are couple forum participants on here who can do that for you if you send them your VIN. If/when they’re able, I’m sure they’ll chime in.
Any idea if it would be hardware or software driven? I did just pull down 4.2.1 earlier in the week. The only other factors that I considered was the cold temperatures and the very low SOC.
I totally understand both of your trepidation.
For what it's worth, I too was scared of the auto-update. However, if these updates bring fixes and feature enhancements that improve my truck and driving experience I'm all for getting it ASAP. If Ford removes features with an auto-update, there...
Just got 4.2.1 today. Had the 4.1.1 update Jan 24. Have not done anything except going back and moving the toggle to connect to Wi-fi back on as it seemed to go off more than once.
is there a support line to call to discuss 4.2.1 bugs and issues? is this simply up to the dealer to sort out?
My system has been anything but reliable since the latest update.
it lost my trailer history, but yet somehow thinks I HAVE a trailer hooked up? It is adjusting the range estimate...
...as the last one may means monkeys writing the code may be doing drugs too. If this indeed includes a modem fix and they didn’t want to put all fixes in writing, we are talking dishonest monkeys too.
p.s. got 4.1.1 in January and now 4.2.1. Still love the truck and still afraid of auto...
Just got 4.2.1 about 10 minutes after doing battery reset to get truck to talk to FP app again. Had been about 5 days since I last lost connection. Was shocked to see 4.2.1 since I it had been since 2/14 that I’d gotten my only update prior in the truck to 4.1.2. Usually modem goes a few days...
