Looks good, sir! I was also slipping on the way out. The new boards appear to tuck up closer to the cab by a bit so now when I get out my foot lands right on them. I'll have to get used to that. My 18 has power boards so I'm acclimated to their height going in and out.
I was looking at buying my Lariat but the dealer was unable to confirm eligibility of the tax credit for some reason as well. They mentioned Ford was aware and working on something but it didn't matter anyway since I went for the lease.
In my experience with gas F150's the stock shocks didn't last pass 50k and might have been bad before then. If this were a gas truck I could toss plenty of recommendations but things seem to be more limited with the Lightning? I know the Eibachs have been tested for this platform and it seems...
I had no issues with things lining up but the top bolt for the front bracket on the driver side did come loose behind the sheet metal and tried to spin around on me. I had to hold and start the nut and I was able to grab the threads and tighten with a ratcheting wrench.
I got them off of eBay. There's a shop in Houston that sells takes off from folks that get power boards. The following are an example from the same shop I got them from. I was unable to find anything quickly on the forums I'm with...
I didn't care for the look of the stock running boards so, I swapped them out for the tremor version. For those with a keen eye, I did install them backwards. I prefer the look and it does look much better overall. Easy straight swap and these came off of an F-250.
I found a large rock on the driver side when I took it off. Who knows how it go there. There are holes in it I presume to allow water to drain and they are open on top.
I've been thinking about removing the running boards on my lightning but didn't want the ugly black cover showing. I decided to look into it and saw nothing so I took the passenger side off and sure enough there's nothing behind it. I figured it was protecting something but now I presume it's...
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have another electrician coming by tomorrow and I'll discuss some of these points with him/her. Hoping to get away from using the mobile charger all the time. Luckily I work from home so it hasn't been a big deal but, I do also have a Mach-E to charge that...
GVEC here in Texas offers up to $600 bucks for a rebate but, yeah I am thinking maybe they didn't want the work either. We'll see how it goes. Luckily I can take my time on this.
I would definitely like to look into this. I just need to speak with other electricians. The last one didn't provide the warm and fuzzies about what needed to happen so I am skeptical about their comfort level.
