Anybody having issues with connectvity after upgrading to sync 713? I couldn’t not unlock my car using PAAK until unless the app is open and connected. I also see that some times connectivity options are completely missing in sync menu. I won’t see the arrows pointing up and down with GPS signal...
hopefully you got it. I didn’t see it on mine at first either. But if tap the Entertainment tab at top right of app screen, while in Park, you might see it
The screen you saw in your truck after 4.2.1 successfully updated was an error by Ford (confirmed). The update did install correctly, just left that phantom screen up.
Deleting the charge location seems to solve a lot of other similar problems. I also recently got 4.2.1 with no UI update, but haven't had that problem. I'm set to always charge, no departure times or anything else enabled. I'm on level 1 at the moment so I'd rarely hit my target anyways.
I just received 4.2.1.2 after getting home today. Ever since 4.2.1 last Saturday my ford pass connection has been rock solid. Hopefully this is all resolved now.
...did not get into details about the function of the updates.
However, another update - Another successful Ford Power-up software update today, 4.2.1.2; but, no noticeable change in user interface, yet... so I'm still patiently awaiting "activation" on 3/29.
The update message today promises...
After waiting over a week for 4.2.1, tried fuse pull, BMS reset. App said updated but truck showed Ready for Download. I put the truck on a trickle charger this morning. Updated to this release! Maybe a coincidence.
Swear it showed Update Completed. Went and checked again. Back to download.
Howdy! I have a '22 Lariat and immediately after the latest (4.2.1) software update, every day when I start the truck for the first time (regardless of time) the heated seat and heated steering wheel are both turned on. My software update did not include and UI changes or youtube... I have...
This is another update, in conjunction with the most recent 4.2.1, (not the one that came up before March) to assist with Modem connectivity issues. Nothing else was added AFAIK.
The last time you ran my VIN I had a GWM, PSCM, OBCC, and an APIM update on the list. I assume the GWM came with 4.2.1 but does that mean I got an APIM update also or did they pull it?
Well, on the heels on 4.2.1, I recieved 4.2.1.2.
After 4.2.1, I had an issue where the truck thought it was in a different Timezone (+2 hours ahead of me in PDT) for all charging and conditioning related settings. I deleted all my charge and conditioning settings, reconfigured them, and haven't...
Either it’s extreme coincidental timing or the BMS reset did the trick for me. I did the reset but didn’t drive it that day. The next day I drive the truck and got an update after parking.
Thanks for posting the tip!
