Im not sure how they are doing it, but just so you are aware, it did not show up as a normal app update. The update notification just appeared when I opened the FordPass app.

UPDATE: I'm going to give Ford credit (I don't know if it was really them, but I'm willing to give them the credit), I opened my FordPass app and I got a big notification across my app stating to update and reset my PaaK. It walked me through a couple of steps and POOF, PaaK is working again...

I have a S22 Ultra, and I've been having no luck with PaaK either. And, it's sad to say, but lately, PaaK not working has been more reliable than actually working. So, I've returned to just carrying the key fob. 👎

I totally agree with Martin. I'm more frustrated at Ford for not releasing updates. Keeping their Lightning customers excited about their trucks that they are willing to talk positively about their trucks; basically FREE advertising for their (Ford) product.

I like it too, but it's still inconsistent for me. There are times when it works and when it doesn't. Also, it'll sometimes lock right away, then other times I will be about 100' away be for it locks. The confidence is a little low with it currently.

I was shocked at the cost of registering my Lightning in CA. It's like paying an additional month for my mortgage. I would be ok with the cost, IF California said the registration was good for two years.

So far... (fingers always crossed) Elk Grove Ford has been pretty good. But, as with any dealership, make sure to ask questions and see if they will be the right dealership for you. I liked dealing with Mike Bhatia at Elk Grove Ford. He's a sales guy, but he seems to be "upfront" with me.

Thanks for posting this and to the Reddit person. I just checked and I only had the option to get an additional year of BC for $0. So, I tried it and now it says my BC will renew after my trial period ends. I have 23 Lariat.

Do the 24's have access to Alexa or Google Assistant still? If so, if you have either, you can try linking your garage door to one of those and use voice commands to open and close your garage door. It's an alternative option.

Ford partnered with Canopy. But, it's main purpose is to record your unsecured truck bed. It's supposed to notify you if it identifies someone is stealing something from the bed.
