  1. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

Creep isnt the issue, its fine position. Maybe aligning a trailer is a better example, putting a down tailgate up to a loading dock, etc.
  2. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

No. And to creep forward you only need one, the one on the brake.
  3. Silent Mode

Fwiw don't forget you can turn the center screen off (at least on the 12"). I dont believe the driver display has that option however. .
  4. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

When slowing the same amount it uses the same amount of regen. The difference is you CAN slow harder with the brake pedal. I have monitored brake line pressure as well and using the brake pedal has ZERO pressure in the brake line up until you exceed the max the battery can take. No pressure in...
  5. Canadian Winters (Dealer told me F150 Lightning not the truck for me)

Going from 75f to 15f my efficiency dropped from 2.0mi/kwh at 70mph to 1.35mi/kwh at 70mph. This was measured in a controlled test and the truck started out in a semi-heated garage. Thats is a 35% reduction in efficiency. On a road trip doing 80%-10% that would drop my ER from a 184mi stop to...
  6. Pre-collision Assist w/Automatic Emergency Braking Doesn’t Appear to Work

Can't say I have had the braking trigger in traffic. It did scare the crap out of my wife the other day when she tried to pretend to come at me and it slammed on the brakes. At least I think she was pretending...
  7. Canadian Winters (Dealer told me F150 Lightning not the truck for me)

So there are a lot of different factors here and how that number comes to be. First, the rated range is NOT at true highway speeds. Kick it up to 75mph and that range will be a lot less, even in perfect weather. Aerodynamic drag is a killer, increasing exponentially (2x the speed = 4x the...
  8. Auto highbeams not working

Might be worth grabbing a extended warranty.
  9. 2026 F-150 Lightning Order Banks are Open

I look at it different. The credits were not to pay people to buy the vehicles, the credits were to pay the manufacture to produce a higher COST vehicle and still be able to have it come in at a comparable market price. No matter what, EVs have not quite yet realized the global scale of parts...
  10. Is it possible to change DRL from White to Amber Forscan

Something I would love to have as well
  11. Recommendations needed for 110v extension cord for outdoor use to run off truck (can’t find existing thread)

If you dont know the need and you are talking about something that can literally catch fire then you dont go with the lowest common denominator, you go with the highest. This isnt the place to recomend a cord and if it catches fire just try a different one. The lightning can push 20a, that...
  12. Farley says Ford is behind in EV (vs. Tesla and China) so Ford can't afford to "walk away from EVs."

Having to know which ones you can use, and which you cannot, only highlights the failure more rather than diminishing it. Aside from brand loyalty or picky performance car owners, when was the last time you had to pick a certain gas station because others wouldn't be able to refuel your car.
  13. Farley says Ford is behind in EV (vs. Tesla and China) so Ford can't afford to "walk away from EVs."

I have to be contrary to this view. You are an enthusiast, which also means there is a bit of a bias. Not saying that in a bad way. The lightning does road trip, and its as comfortable as it always is. However the time spent to charge is annoying when trying to reach a destination. Dare I say...
  14. Braking indication

Your assumption is correct, as i stated earlier too. Carscanner will show brake line pressure and I have monitored this a few times.
  15. Ford App v6.2.0 out for iOS. Pro Power PPOB is back (for some)

I'm on 6.1.0 for android, released 20 Oct. Looks like there is an update to Android on 7 Nov so we may be seeing this soon. The APK sites don't show it yet so I dont think the android version is out in the wild yet.
  16. Charging at Ford dealerships

Same I'll spend a half out at the dealer lot because I have to, not because I want to. If the choice is available I will spend my time somewhere I want to spend time.
  17. F-150 Lightning Production Will Resume 'At The Right Time' says Ford

Ford has invested billions on EVs, the CEO expresses the need for then to move that direction repeatedly, and right now they have essentially two models on the market. They are also selling the Lightning across the world, to fairly good reception it seems. They may not know when its coming...
  18. Braking indication

Again, that was H Tuner or whatever his name is and he has shown time and time again he doesnt understand how the brakes and brake lights work. Its possible to slow any vehicle to near a stop without brakes, I did it for years with stick shifts. That situation only happens in VERY light slowing...
  19. Braking indication

That identifies cars that do not follow the EU regulation and do not illuminated the brake lights when decelersting heavily. The Lightning does follow the EU regulation (or near enough) and does illuminate the brake lights. That isnt showing that some cars just happened to fail to illuminate...
  20. Braking indication

If the regen bar exceeds 100% then the brake pads are being used. Otherwise they are only used about 5' from coming to a stop and occasionally during ABS activation. Maybe not perfect but that regen bar is a really good indication
