  1. Does it bother you? No fog light.

Not needed with the awesome adaptive headlights. I haven't driven in heavy enough fog yet though to see if they perform as well in zero zero conditions.
  2. 2023 F-150 Lightning XLT Yearlong Review: Road-Trip Range Strategies & Optimal Speed

Ya, there is a point between charging more or driving longer. I really want an airspeed indicator, that's where the savings are, if you have a good tailwind you'll save a ton of energy VS trying to keep 70mph groundspeed in a 20 mph headwind.
  3. Surprised by tire wear

Interesting that those tires would have a lower pressure. I'd be curious how much range loss at that lower pressure.
  4. Who here had never owned a full-sized crew cab pickup before?

The ridgeline used to be the perfect truck. Then, they decided to make it smaller, cheaper and less robust. The only option was to step up to an f150 and I haven't looked back. Funny, someone was just complaining about charge port location for city curbside chargers. You'll be lucky to find...
  5. Charging Port Location - Sucks!

Except it doesn't. The Tesla plug can still be ripped out as shown by the many incidents of vandals or people wanting to charge. Charge port location is irrelevant. Sure, make it easy as possible but there is no "perfect" spot.
  6. LiveWire S2 Del Mar

It was never a safety thing. It was an excuse for being loud and obnoxious. Not driving like a tool and respecting other road users is the safest way to ride a bike. They are beyond dead, they are trying to reanimate a corpse.
  7. Surprised by tire wear

What truck do you have? Shouldn't it be 42psi?
  8. Buyer Beware- avoid Lightning- Powertrain Malfunction off lot

Had mine since January with no problems except the window switch (all f150 problem). Love the truck, would buy again.
  9. Just realized, I’ve never used my Park Assist

Park assist and trailer backup assist are 2 features I've never used. Never used the trailer assist on my old f150 either. Tried the park assist once, it was a waste of time but if you don't know how to backup or park it's great.
  10. Someone tried to break-in

That sucks, only crackheads are going to do that much damage trying to get in.
  11. Installing a transformer in my truck

Probably cheaper to fix/upgrade/replace the mixer. If it's a 120v unit it should run on the outlet but it's obviously drawing too high a load, maybe start cap is gone?
  12. DCFC in Canada for Americans?

Yes, most, if not all, I'd use the app. Last weekend the Petro Canada charger wouldn't work via the app, had to tap CC. There is one brand that only has an app or a mailed RFID card, maybe that was Ivy or Flo. Forget about support from any of these companies though. They're terrible and just...
  13. DCFC in Canada for Americans?

Charging in Ontario is pretty tough. Stations out of service and stations that are de-rated but still advertised as higher. Some stations have tap for cards, some are app exclusive. I have 5 apps so far. Use plugshare and look at the check-ins to plan your route. Always have at least 1 or 2...
  14. Charging Port Needs to be Replaced (New Truck Didn't Even Get Us Home from the Dealership)

I guess so, IF they actually made it that day, if they had to reschedule for a week later then it either sits at 100 or the dealer drives it off. Pick your poison. Regardless, a minor inconvenience. But minor inconveniences become big issues on the internet. My truck came with 93%, didn't...
  15. Charging Port Needs to be Replaced (New Truck Didn't Even Get Us Home from the Dealership)

Unlike a gas powered vehicle where its ideal to sit with a full tank, it is not ideal to sit at 100% charge and Ford even mentions this.
  16. Fisker opens reservations for the Alaska

Oh ya, I checked it out earlier before it was posted here. But absolutely no specs or even renderings of what it might be. Fisker is trying to raise quick, interest free cash.
  17. Charging Port Needs to be Replaced (New Truck Didn't Even Get Us Home from the Dealership)

Why would they charge to 100? No reason to go past 90. Unless they used a level 3 charger they wouldn't have known either. Most dealers only have level 2.
  18. Charging Port Needs to be Replaced (New Truck Didn't Even Get Us Home from the Dealership)

The dangers of buying at a far away dealer. There was issues with the charge port lock and if it breaks then it won't DC fast charge. Your truck still might have been able to level 1/2 charge. Changing the port is the fix.
  19. Fisker opens reservations for the Alaska

I'm done with reservations. KIA, fisker et al just want to drum up some hype and cash without actually providing any meaningful information like timelines, pricing and options. At least KIA had some renderings of the ev9 but at $1000 for a reservation with no actual pricing they can take a...
