I don’t know about you other Lightning owners, but I am concerned that after owning and experiencing the F-150 Lightning, twice, I will never be happy with an ICE vehicle, or ANY other F-150 or other truck… again.
The smooth ride, quiet ride, asinine acceleration, one-pedal, regenerative...
Is it THAT hard for a multi-billion dollar automaker to provide a reliable app with reliable updates? I guess that’s a dumb question. There is ALWAYS a problem with Ford Pass. And when that problem is fixed, another 2 or 3 take its place. Can’t start the truck remotely one day. Cant set a...
I would’ve bet the farm my 2023 Lightning displayed charging status on the dashboard even when the truck was off, but fast charging.
My 2024 is blank. Is there a way to see the status without opening the door every time?
I have had no issues since the latest update. Now, I plug my truck in, and I get charging faults.
I have always had my truck set to charge from 10pm to 6am during the cheapest rates. Well, Friday night, I see my truck had a charging faults. I could not get it to charge, and was forced to go...
Just thinking as I disconnected my Lightning from the charger at work so a fellow worker could charge a Rivian…. Why does the Rivian lock to the EVSE (8.5kW) plug to the vehicle, yet anyone can simply press the button on the plug if plugged into my Lightning, and run with the cord to their...
Since it’s no secret who makes the Ford NACS adapter for Ford, and Ford is out of stock, is there any reason I should not buy one direct? My 2024 did not come with one, and I am without an adapter. Any reason to wait on Ford?
Let’s be truthful. No BS, no sugar. Would you buy another?
I ask because I still maintain my 2022 Lightning was the best Ford truck I can remember in 40 years. Solid. Yes, teething, but it was new technology. I had issues, but the biggest was range. The standard just didn’t cut it for me...
So I’ve read on Ford’s site that with the Pro Charger, on an 80amp circuit, it can charge a Lightning with an extended range battery at 30 miles per hour. But then, today, another ford site, I read 20. What is it?
My Ford Connected Charger with my 2022 standard range would charge as high as...
So I’m seriously considering another Lightning. This time an ER. Likely a Flash. I don’t really need the charger promotion, and would rather take the $2,000 credit. BUT, should I get a Ford Charger? I had the Ford Connected with my SR Lariat, and it did integrate nice with FordPass (then)...
When I was waiting for my turn to order my 2022 Lightning, I would regularly jump
On FordPass to compare trips, expected battery usage, and charging locations, to the routes I used for my ICE Ford. It helped me when I finally got my Lightning, because I kind of pre-planned my routes, and...

Prior to buying my lightning, I called my insurance provider, who is American Family, and they told me it would cost me $20 a month more to insure the Lightning over the standard King Ranch F150 that I had. So, $240 a year to me was no big deal.
Well, cut to six months later, and the premiums...
Ugh. Nothing like your heart sinking after reading your phone and seeing this message… knowing you have to be to a meeting in an hour, and have three more scattered all over the place this same day.
Luckily, it had charged up, but red ring syndrome hit, and it will not charge anywhere. So...
If any of you have hung on any other truck forums, you may know I’ve been a big Ford Truck proponent for well over 45 years, owned close 30 Ford trucks, and logged about 2.5 million miles in them. I’ve always thought Ford was #1. Now I’m afraid the Lightning may prove otherwise in the future...
Thanks to this forum for information on snagging my Lightnings high voltage battery state of health.
Pleased to see at almost 11,000 miles since August, mine reports 99.5%. Variance between cells is less that 0.02 of a percent.
I plan to track it each month and see how it goes. If winter range...
Took the Lightning up to Northern Wisconsin this past weekend to get some woods exercise. Travel up I-90 from Rockford, IL to North Central Wisconsin was okay. 300 miles, three fast chargers (350kW) was a no brainer. Added about an hour over a gasser. Expected.
Return trip along the other...
I may be the exception here, but after feeling like I was duped into thinking Ford actually was making an affordable electric truck for the working man, and not some darn yuppie or DINK group, I’m pist off.
Ford sang praises that the Lightning would start at $39,995, or whatever the figure was...
