  1. Illinois WTT Stock Pro wheels/tires for Lariat.

I’d be interested in your OEM boards if they become available. Thanks.
  2. 🙋‍♂️ What Did You Do To Your Lightning Today?

The wheel locks look well made and I really like the black nuts, but do people steal stock wheels? The first thing I do is remove any locking lug nuts from any vehicle I purchase. It’s too darn easy to lose that key and you’re SOL.
  3. Owners - Do you drive in one pedal mode or traditional ?

I drive a bunch of different vehicles weekly, I’m not interested in causing an accident because I get confused in something other than the Lightning.
  4. Financing the 2022 Lightning Purchase - Add Your Options

Most dealers have a cap under $15K that you can put on a credit card, I think the limit last time I tried was $7K. I’m not sure if that was a dealer restriction or law, but I was trying to do $20K for the points.
  5. Front license plates options for CA - standard holder, vinyl plate, flip out, digital or none ?

What is the benefit to the $20 per month digital plate? If it could detect photo radar and scramble the numbers I might be interested.
  6. Dynamic blending headlamps are impressive

I had this kind of light on my 2011 VW Touareg, 2013 Volvo C30 Polestar, and 2015 VW Touareg. I can't wait to have it on my Lightning. Yes, it's supposed to be included on the PRO model.
  7. Installed screen protector and 13" antenna

I like the Cravenspeed antenna or untenna products. Their stubby is only 3.2” long. https://www.cravenspeed.com/2021-14/
  8. Biggest disappointment on the Pro Trim - an owner's take

Both Ford and Weathertech offer mats for the vinyl floor. I don’t have my Pro yet, so I don’t know what is to isn’t there for retention. I’m going to buy the Weathertech mats and see if they fit when my truck shows up.
  9. Pro on the way, what accessories?

They attach a longer fabric pull on the rear seat latch with a longer bracket so it’s easier to fold the seat backs forward and use the area behind the seat for storage. You can accomplish the same thing by getting a long closed end wrench back there and pulling the factory latch up, but it’s a...
  10. Pro on the way, what accessories?

I’m surprised that the tonneau cover hurts range. I was looking at a Diamondback SE cover online yesterday.
  11. Leaking moonroof

IMHO sunroofs don’t belong on trucks. Ford had a run a few years back where the panels were just shattering driving down the highway. It happened to my buddy and I going down I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson one morning, there was no other cars nearby to throw the rock. I was always paranoid...
  12. F150 Lightning Extended Warranty from Ford Protect at $50 Over Cost!

Yes. Usually within 30 days of purchase there is no penalty or fee, after that you lose a small pro rated amount. I just advised a friend on this. He and the wife bought the dealership’s 5/60 extended warranty on a new Highlander for $2200, I found him the Toyota 8/80 warranty for $735...
  13. Frunk Mods

Builtright Industries or someone like them could make a custom set of molle panels for the sides of the frunk. I agree with @Firestop about adding weight to the frunk lid possibly challenging the mechanism.
  14. The liner delay is real…..

I’ve had both, either is fine. For overall durability the Linex is better because of the prep, but I’ve read elsewhere that it also voids the corrosion warranty on the panels it’s installed on because they break the factory paint. I did find this video eye opening in 2020 when I was trying to...
  15. Cost of ownership calculations for employer reimbursement

Good points. There is no way our family’s tax liability would be small enough to not collect the $7500. I’m hoping with L2 charging at the offices I can avoid public chargers much of the time. I realized after the fact that I need to add in the Ford ESP cost to the calculations. The current...
  16. Cost of ownership calculations for employer reimbursement

I'm going to be using my Lightning Pro as my work vehicle. Unfortunately due to the name matching program the dealer won't let me register it in the name of the company since I'm not an officer of the corporation. I currently have a Chevy 1500 that is 100% paid for by my employer, we are going...
  17. Do ICE F-150 mud flaps fit the Lightning?

Without the mud flaps the truck will get all chipped along the rockers, so efficiency be damned on this one.
  18. Dealer refuses to sell the Lightning to the person who ordered. Marks it up by $50k and puts it on the lot.

Dealerships mark up the financing to increase their profit. Make sure it doesn’t have a prepayment penalty and refinance it after the fact. If the dealership doesn’t keep the loan at least 6 months or a year depending on the bank they will get charged back with a penalty. Let them think they...
  19. Floor Liners for Pro

Also Ford makes a specific liner for the vinyl floors. The Weathertechs fit the vinyl floor well in my Bronco, but it has pegs to secure mats...
  20. 3.8sec 0-60mph for Lightning Lariat Extended Range in Motortrend test review

Shouldn’t have to be off road use only, there aren’t any direct tailpipe emissions to worry about. I wonder if there are any gov’t regulations about modifying EV’s in such a way that they use more electricity?
