The wheel locks look well made and I really like the black nuts, but do people steal stock wheels? The first thing I do is remove any locking lug nuts from any vehicle I purchase. It’s too darn easy to lose that key and you’re SOL.
I drive a bunch of different vehicles weekly, I’m not interested in causing an accident because I get confused in something other than the Lightning.
Most dealers have a cap under $15K that you can put on a credit card, I think the limit last time I tried was $7K. I’m not sure if that was a dealer restriction or law, but I was trying to do $20K for the points.
I had this kind of light on my 2011 VW Touareg, 2013 Volvo C30 Polestar, and 2015 VW Touareg. I can't wait to have it on my Lightning. Yes, it's supposed to be included on the PRO model.
Both Ford and Weathertech offer mats for the vinyl floor. I don’t have my Pro yet, so I don’t know what is to isn’t there for retention. I’m going to buy the Weathertech mats and see if they fit when my truck shows up.
They attach a longer fabric pull on the rear seat latch with a longer bracket so it’s easier to fold the seat backs forward and use the area behind the seat for storage. You can accomplish the same thing by getting a long closed end wrench back there and pulling the factory latch up, but it’s a...
IMHO sunroofs don’t belong on trucks. Ford had a run a few years back where the panels were just shattering driving down the highway. It happened to my buddy and I going down I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson one morning, there was no other cars nearby to throw the rock. I was always paranoid...
Yes. Usually within 30 days of purchase there is no penalty or fee, after that you lose a small pro rated amount. I just advised a friend on this. He and the wife bought the dealership’s 5/60 extended warranty on a new Highlander for $2200, I found him the Toyota 8/80 warranty for $735...
Builtright Industries or someone like them could make a custom set of molle panels for the sides of the frunk. I agree with @Firestop about adding weight to the frunk lid possibly challenging the mechanism.
I’ve had both, either is fine. For overall durability the Linex is better because of the prep, but I’ve read elsewhere that it also voids the corrosion warranty on the panels it’s installed on because they break the factory paint. I did find this video eye opening in 2020 when I was trying to...
Good points. There is no way our family’s tax liability would be small enough to not collect the $7500. I’m hoping with L2 charging at the offices I can avoid public chargers much of the time.
I realized after the fact that I need to add in the Ford ESP cost to the calculations.
The current...
I'm going to be using my Lightning Pro as my work vehicle. Unfortunately due to the name matching program the dealer won't let me register it in the name of the company since I'm not an officer of the corporation. I currently have a Chevy 1500 that is 100% paid for by my employer, we are going...
Dealerships mark up the financing to increase their profit. Make sure it doesn’t have a prepayment penalty and refinance it after the fact. If the dealership doesn’t keep the loan at least 6 months or a year depending on the bank they will get charged back with a penalty. Let them think they...
Shouldn’t have to be off road use only, there aren’t any direct tailpipe emissions to worry about. I wonder if there are any gov’t regulations about modifying EV’s in such a way that they use more electricity?
