  1. Increase range by 18% with Flated Cap

Thanks for this post & video. I'm considering a Flated for my '22 Lightning. Specifically for Tacoma to Palm Springs trip next year.
  2. Farley believes he knows how to beat the Chinese on EVs

Sad. I really like my platinum Lightning. EV.s with range extenders may address various anxieties but don’t they just end up undermining the advantages of owning an EV?
  3. Anyone getting Concerned that Ford is not in on EV for the long haul

I saw Jim Farleys interview about EVs about a month ago & even though it was encouraging, Fords easing back on their plans for EV’s makes me nervous in regards to maintenance & support for my MME. EV adoption is still happening but at a slower pace & maybe even slower depending on the next...
  4. Tesla Supercharger Charging with A2Z Adapter - Positive and Negative Experiences

Regarding out-of-network Tesla charging stations vs in-network Tesla charging stations: In-Network: I was successfully able to charge through the ford app and or dashboard interface Out-of-Network: Unable to charge through the app or dashboard. Had to use the Tesla app in order to use a level...
  5. HUD

Their HUD in the Titanium package Escape was very useful. Would I trade in my āš”ļø for a new one with a HUD & NACS? ?
  6. Tacoma to Santa Barbara ???

Thank you. Very helpful. I will make sure to include level 2 charge stops at hotels in my planning it’s the Monterey to San Luis Obisbo stretch that looks the most challenging. Roughly the same distance from Tacoma to PDX w/out any stations listed. Good to know the speed & terrain help...
  7. Tacoma to Santa Barbara ???

Anyone drive from Oregon coast to Santa Barbara using hwy’s 101 & 1? I'm planning a trip and wondering about charger R&R (reliability & redundancy). Any tips would help, as I usually just go down I-5.
  8. Just took a 450 intersate road trip in a standard range lightning. Never again

Good to know. I drive my lightning from Tacoma WA to Coos Bay OR (6 hours ice driving). It’s a pretty stress free drive. Drove my MME to San Diego and back. Going down was fine. Seemed quicker, used the ford trip planner. But coming home used apple car play. It was tedious.
  9. Just took a 450 intersate road trip in a standard range lightning. Never again

I’m still a big fan of my Platinum, but yes, ā€˜Range’ is such a versatile word & something I was slow to take into account for interstate travel. Even with an average range slightly north 275, trip planner will conservatively stop at shorter intervals. Yes, the ER could allow for longer...
  10. Trade value shock

EV’s are still new, and I wonder if the used market is flooded with EV’s that had 3 year leases.
  11. The Hits Just Keep on Coming (Ford News)

Resurrecting the EV focus (or a model that would be well suited for fleet vehicles) would be great, but please not a compliance version with an 80-110 mile range. How will this draw down affect the charging infrastructure? Give enough time to upgrade and expand, or cede it to Tesla.
  12. My MME is perfect. I wish to discuss my fears with other members here about the Lightning. (No more fears.)

I have both. ā€˜21 MME AWD Extended Range and a lightning Platinum. Very impressed with both. Between the two, I use the lightning more, because: -Fits big & Tall guys better than the MME -its easier to access, as it won’t fit in my garage where the MME is. -Rides smooth The MME’s blue...
  13. Seattle electrician recommendation

I used Taylor Heating and electric for both charge point and ford lightning chargers. They definitely have the experience and know how. No complaints with their service.
  14. Tinted front light bar on F150 Lightning using special tint made for lights

I’m really happy with it. No regrets. While I’m a fan of the wrap around front light, the tint blends it in and makes it less of a standout feature. Plus it still illuminates at night so it’s kind of the best of both worlds.
  15. SMOKED QUARTZ F-150 Lightning Photos & Club

Process was ā€˜smoke paint tinting’. And cost about 1,395. Also recommend a paint protection film afterwards to minimize rock chips, which is about $250.00
  16. SMOKED QUARTZ F-150 Lightning Photos & Club

    Wheels powder coated black.
  17. NW deliveries

Yes. About two weeks ago in Tacoma. Dealer held onto it for some tweaks and software fixes.
  18. SMOKED QUARTZ F-150 Lightning Photos & Club

My dealer offered to have the wheels powder coated black. He also had the white light bar painted, head lights tinted and calipers coated as well. Its going to look great, when it’s all done
