I had three of those before my roadside failure. Check the battery terminals and make sure they are tight. They are saying that’s what caused my issue.
Dealer just called. Said they had a engineer from Ford who came out and they supposedly have it fixed. Said the negative cable in the 12 volt battery was loose. I guess I’ll have to drive it real low again to make sure.
This is interesting. It thought it was plugged in the whole time from when it died on the side of the road till probably when they started charging it again.
I see they moved it to a Chevy dealership. I’m guessing so it can charge a little faster. They were on a AC basic charger at the dealership and now it’s DC charging. If they didn’t have to charge up the 12 volt battery to get it to start do you think that rules it out? Or would it charge it up...
Well I see it is currently charging at the dealership. It's up to 13% and 34 miles in the 56 minutes it's been charging. I think they should be able to try to diagnose it sometime today.
Whatever they figure out I will post it here. I have a 2015 F150 and it is the same. When the batery gets low it will not even try to crank. But nothing else works either. I WILL post what the problem is if they figure it out. I don't have any faith in Ken Garff in Fort Collins. Feel free to...
You know I was running down the interstate when this all happened. Had been driving all day. then the last 35 miles of range just dropped down to 12 in about 6 miles. Any 12-volt battery that causes your ICE car to die is a pretty drained battery. Once the car dies you would never be able to use...
There is actually a panel you remove that has a jump start point right up on the passenger side in the frunk. no need to empty the frunk to get to the battery. Just take that cover off.
The 12-volt systems were working fine. The headlights were very bright. the Frunk would function at the same speed. The radio worked. Nothing points to the 12-volt battery being low.
I think that was the MachE guy who said he had the same problem, and it was the LVB. This happened over a week ago and they still haven't replaced his battery?
I topped of In Ogalala NE. The next charging station on my trip was in Cheyenne WY. A 1 station 25 KW charger that according to the reviews on the app may or may not even be working. So, the truck said it would make it to Wellington Colorado to a fast charger. I'm guessing most everyone else...
Did you trust that if the car told you it could make it to a charging station it would? I had the range to make it with 5 miles to spare. I had just drove 420 miles at 80 MPH. The truck knew what milage I was getting. It's not like I changed driving style. Actually, I did. I slowed down to 55...
I just don't think it could possibly be the 12 volt battery. The lights were all still very bright. The frunk would still open and close. All the accessories inside came on just fine. And the issue happened while running down the interstate at the end of a 450 mile drive on Sunday. I am not sure...
Well it sat at the dealership overnight and even with me calling to tell them to charge the truck up it is still sitting there with a dead battery. That has to be good for it.
