Thanks Brian - it's probably worth noting that other members received a prior update which turned the walk-away-lock feature on, with no way to disable it, and the release notes also indicated that this situation would be fixed in this update (which it did not).
I have the BCM update (thus WAL is enabled), but I can't turn it off. I got this update, but I still can't turn it off. Seems like Ford missed something in this release ... like the actual change described? (yes I know it can be done via forscan)
Maybe it's just me, but is 1.4 more shakey when a large truck is in front of you? It starts swerving all over the place like it can't see the lines. Gets better if you adjust the distance, but then you lose efficiency (less wind blockage) and more people start cutting in front of you. I'm just...
I have a 48amp charger usually derated to 40amp because I sometimes use an J1772 extension cord only rated for 40amps. Honestly, the extra hour+ of charge time never really bothers me, I wouldn't worry about it, but installing wiring for a future upgrade was smart.
Maybe highways are different here - but if I set cruise, that's the speed I want to stay at. There's not a single curve that I would typically slow down for on any bc-mapped interstate. Different story on local roads, etc - but not on "highways".
That's interesting - so if you were in hands-free, use the accelerator to speed up past 80 mph (and out of hands-free), BC lane change no longer works? I'm definitely seeing that it does.
So far so good. I definitely do not like the auto-slowdown around curves. This is both annoying to me and the people behind me. I also mentioned this one in the other thread:

Played around with the lane change feature a bunch this weekend. I found it funny that the feature is still active even when hands-free is not - e.g. if you are traveling above 80mph, it will still try to do a lane change even though your hands are on the wheel. I wonder if that is by design or...
Finally received and successfully installed 1.4 yesterday. I was convinced they had put me in the penalty box for complaining too much on surveys!
Still waiting on the fix/toggles for WAL.
Nope - it's key fob based. I have never set up PAAK.
It's simply unwanted behavior with a "frunk operation" update, and no way to turn it off without Forscan.
I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. Took this update late in the week, had no idea it included WAL. Now I'm constantly having to unlock my truck - so my wife can get stuff out of it. Yesterday at the grocery store my kid forgot her backpack, ran back out to the truck (which I NEVER lock unless I'm...
I see both sides of this, and am in the $80k->40k group. In general I'm happy with the truck, but not happy with the depreciation. It's not completely unexpected - as others have said, truck was bought at a high point in the vehicle market in general, and more specifically EV trucks, and now the...
2.1 mpk is great at winter temps + precipitation. Must have been a lot of traffic on I5 / rt 1! Boy do I miss those trips (lived in Seattle for 10 years). Totally agree on the family ski hauler - especially putting all the wet gear in the frunk / skis in the bed = low moisture cabin. Glad the...
Totally agree with this. Our X5 PHEV after 3 years and 40k miles (~30k of EV miles) has zero battery degradation.
The "city slickers that want to take their toys half way across the state for some weekend fun without compromise" is exactly the demographic for the Ramcharger, and it is large...
I think it totally makes sense. I would prefer a slightly smaller battery (~70kwh) to easily handle daily commute work but keep the weight down. And then on longer weekend trips, etc - you aren't worried about charging stops, waiting in line, etc - you just use gas.
In the future that equation...
Reducing power output in the snow is easy - just drive around with a cold-soaked, mostly depleted battery!
In all seriousness I like a bit of regen in slippery conditions as it "feels" like downshifting in a manual transmission vehicle - scrubbing speed without disrupting weight/balance like...
Yep - as originally delivered, if you are in the right lane, the software biases left, and if you are in the left lane, it biases right. Basically the opposite of what a driver naturally does, giving a little extra space to vehicles in the adjacent lane. The updates being discussed here do solve...
