    1)The kit i got from bobs comes with a adapter to make it plug and play. Maybe the adapter has something to do with it working and not working when the truck is off or on. My homelink does not work if the truck is off. Pretty much when the light is on on the mirror homelink works. Check and see...

    I think the compass information is in the mirror because when i hooked mine up i had to drive in circles to calibrate it. Here is a link and one of the pictures it shows the adapter.(not sure if thats what you are looking for)

    I'v been waiting to find a set from a tremor with the ford writing on them. But this is a great deal. Only thing is this is like a 3 hour one way drive for me so i'm not sure. Will have to think about it.

    Well i decided to get homelink in my rearview mirror and i'm going to get illuminated mirror visors without homelink(still waiting to purchase these). They seem to be about half the price of homelink visors. Here is a picture of my gentex homelink v5 rearview installed with blue backlit.

    Yes i have a auto dim mirror. I believe the homelink rear view mirror only works with factory auto dim mirror trucks. I did it on my toyota and i liked it. But my toyota didn't have a factory homelink option. Still can't find the lighted mirror(non-sunroof) homelink vanity mirrors to try this...

    Thanks. So we just need one of these per side? So now to find some lighted mirrors and confidence to install it. I like this idea because i get homelink and lighted mirrors. But iv' also been thinking about getting the review mirror with homelink built in.
