Agree! I've found nothing aside from those old posts. There is a front tow-hitch receiver that bolts on to the bottom of the chassis but it requires removing or cutting the air dam which I'm not interested in doing.

I won't disagree it's dumb and foreseeable / preventable, but it is at least very easy to fix. The cover has been wonderful otherwise.

FWIW, this all sort of happened at the same time on a really hot day (90+) when I had the truck in the sun. The actual temp in the truck bed with the cover on was probably way hotter. So I think the tape or adhesive spray they use just fails in either very hot (and probably very cold) temps.

Yes. I had to purchase some double-sided thin VHB adhesive tape to re-attach them. The adhesive on the back of them stock sucks. It's not just the window bumper, it's all the bumpers. That's been my only issue.

I installed the RC ditch lights, no issue. The supplied brackets worked great. The lights just barely avoid touching the hood when open.

If you look at exactly :44 seconds in to this video you can see they simply left out a left-side panel to access the Pro Power. This doesn't seem like a very good approach, and the approach in the video I posted above seems better:

Let us know what they say! I assume this dealership made the cuts themselves with a dremel. There’s another video I saw where someone got access another way but it looked worse.
