Tesla has announced layoffs of “more than 10%” of its global workforce in an internal company-wide email. We exclusively reported yesterday that Tesla was prepping a massive layoff.
For the last few months, it has looked like Tesla might be preparing for a round of layoffs. Tesla told managers...
Many older Tesla Superchargers are known as "Version 2" or v. 2. They only charge at 150 kW and cannot communicate with CCS vehicles. Others are 250 kW v3 Superchargers. They can communicate with CCS vehicles, but some are not available yet. The most reliable way I know of to find CCS compatible...
Nice pictures, that Lightning looks right at home. I toured parts of the Henry Ford museum and hope to make it back some day.
My granddad started off after WW I as a Model T mechanic at a small 'Ford Garage' in Nebraska. He wrenched until about 1958. When I was a little kid, he used to tell me...
Good luck with opening the data pipeline. The only reason I can think of to requiring vehicle charging data is so the energy provider can't be accused of turning off charging when you need a higher SoC. Seems like weak sauce to me. With those EVSE Tax man listed, they will still have enough data...
Ford (manufacturer) doesn't have anything to do with IRS Form 15400. They built the vehicle and certifies it qualifies for tax credit. Process should work like this:
Dealer submits IRS Form 15400 listing their EV sales to IRS with VIN, buyer's SSN, and vehicle sales qualifying information.
You...
If there was, they'd tell you to call the dealer.
By any chance, do you have any open recalls or customer satisfaction program items? 23B70 seemed like it really made a difference.
I took the battery out of one fob and locked the fob in the console vault. Taped the battery in a concealed spot. Even without the battery in the fob, you should be able to start the truck in the 'Magic Spot' under the cup holder closest to the console.
This type of collar allows un-metered power input and isolates the grid. It's between the metered grid and your power source.
You are coming in on the supply side of the service panel. Your generator/battery becomes the service.
IMHO, you already got the best answer from @Henry Ford if you don't want to use extension cords directly from the truck. It may not be elegant, but it's not bad for areas with fairly reliable grids.
Best laugh of the day! Notice the thing they're really, really mad about is losing profits to over-the-air updates and EVs. They'd better grow up and put on their big boy pants. Maybe even learn how to treat customers with respect. Just kidding.
This came up some time ago. I think it has to do with vampire battery drain by allowing the truck to go into deep sleep without constant Locked/Unlocked polling. You can always press and hold the Lock button in the app to make sure the truck is locked when it reports back to you.
Using the IRS mileage rate for 2024 (67¢/mi), that would be a mileage charge of $13,400. I don't know what they use for various state Lemon Laws.
____________
Some states' Lemon Laws don't rack up days when a loaner is offered. If it's 4-6 weeks for them to look at the truck, it might be...
The dealer is an independent business that sold you the truck at their price and under their rules. Ford makes the rules on vehicles and customers that may qualify for various incentives. Whether or not the dealer honors the certificates Ford issues is up to the dealer. Another dealer may have...
