not really. It got repaired again. Then the HV battery died and it was in the shop for 5 weeks. Combined with my worry about electrical damage from a repeatedly soaked dash I did not want to chance it anymore and did a Ford buyback.
My Lariat trim does the same but not always. Have not been able to find a reason for it. The trim looks OK and it's not always. Forgot to ask last time it went to the shop but based on history won't be long before it goes again and will ask.
Could you tell me what the dealer should have done in balancing. Mine came back with no indication of charging done (at least not from the app screen) at roughly the power level I dropped it off prior to replacement of a module. I know they don't have a high power charger and it was dropped...
Will let you know about the buyback. Just made the request to please be put in touch with someone to start this process. Otherwise, I will start the Georgia lemon law process. I am counting on getting essentially my purchase price refunded as that is what the lemon law here would require...
As a point of information for those who are dealing with Ford on this issue and had to get a rental. My Lightning was in the shop for about 5 weeks. I made do for the first two week and then ended up getting a rental. Was just told that the reimbursement (about a 1000 dollars) comes in the...
Got mine back just now. Failed July 18th. Battery arrived Monday. Went into the shop yesterday 11:30 am (error message in the app that it was being moved). So, a little over 5 weeks total. Dealer, I think, did everything they could to do it in a timely manner so can't really complain to...
I have a great idea. Instead of replying with a copy/paste that has absolutely zero value. Why don't you stop production of new trucks as need be. Divert batteries that hopefully work to those that already bought the trucks and need them because you sold a defective product? This is coming...
Don't think the '23 are better either and before now my "only" problem has been twice saturating the cabin interior for roof leaks (the leather seats have the weird folds I have seen on the forum but not enough for me to want to have it looked at). Looked at a 23. No smart hitch, no onboard...
This is going to cost Ford a fortune in buy backs. Better part of 100,000 dollar trucks (once taxes/fees are counted in) getting returned. Mine is a 22 with <5k miles on it and just turned one year. As of today qualifies for lemon law filing in Georgia. It's an arbitration process but how...
Got a non BEV customer rep, then was told that was the wrong rep, then got a new non BEV rep (and case number), then transferred to a BEV rep (with a new case number, I guess that starts a new clock, so the non-response doesn't count against metrics). The BEV rep said "Module will ship when we...
Next Tuesday will week 4 for me since the message came up and it got towed. A week later needs battery module replacement. No date available as to when a battery module will be available (dealer said they can't get info and ford EV customer service is silent). Maybe battery module is regional...
Mine also went down on the 18th. As off this morning no idea of part shipment date per the call I got from the dealer service advisor. Send a note to the Ford EV case manager to see if they have a different answer but had not heard back.
Appreciate the input. Already started discussions in my house what to do if it reaches week 4, as it seems likely. In Georgia the truck would qualify as a lemon at 30 days (and been in the shop twice already eating up days) Going that route would be a request to repurchase or replace. As the...
Finally talked to a service advisor on the battery warning. Was told it is a 23-H01 recall and needed a battery module replacement. The truck was built outside the recall window but I guess that was the closest they got to an issue. Was also informed that typically they have an expected...
Worried I will have the same problem (a battery replacement needed) and nobody helping. Truck died on Tuesday and have yet to get someone to call me back from Ford or the dealership about getting a loaner/rental (even have the extended warranty that should have provided one for 10 days if...
Ford may say that this has nothing to do with the software update but there are not enough Lightnings around for this many posts about the error popping up post install without there being a correlation. Hopefully my dealer will look at it on Monday.
Keep us updated. I had exactly the same problem yesterday. Updated and got both those messages and 20% max power. Towed to dealer who said earliest they can look at it is the 24th. Not enough trucks out there, with people on this forum, to have two peoples die with same message same day...
Charged last night (at home L2), got the milage calculator update, and drove to work fine. Left for the 2-mile drive to lunch and the got the message to stop safely now (20% power). Hoped that maybe letting it sit there would clear it up but no such luck. After 4 1/2 hours of waiting on the...
Time to bring this up again. Was supposed to be "repaired" in November. Walked out opened the truck door this morning (rained about an inch overnight which is not unusual for here and has done so a few times over the last few month). A pool of water in the bottom with the seat and the...
