So do you think there is any damage done, for the dealer to fix you think? Or maybe they just need to clear it and reset it somehow.
alsoā¦sorry for the ignorance but what do those acronyms stand for?
thanks again!
Good point, thanks. Iāll definitely try that next time (not that I valet often).
Do you think having the destination charger plugged in overnight in a fault/charging paused mode could have kept something on that might have drained the 12V ?
seems too much of a coincidence to have it happen...
I didnāt notice that reduced power thing. Iād check now but I had to ditch the truck at home and take the wifeās ICE car because I headed 4 hours up into northern VT for the eclipse and couldnāt risk the lightning.
Hopefully I can get the dealer to figure it out when I get back.
glad Iām...
The keys were nearby I guess, with the valet guys. They kept the truck right by their valet booth, where the Tesla chargers were located.
I didnāt realize that having the keys nearby the truck could keep the truck awake, and drain the 12V like this. Is there some setting that can be chosen...
So my 2022 was totally dead as a doornail this morning at a hotel where it was plugged in to a Tesla destination charger using the adapter from Lectron.
I had gotten a charge fault error during the night, but did not bother to go down and unplug it.
Could that have somehow drained my 12 V...
North Springfield VT has an Enel X Green Mountain Power charger on precision drive, which I used several times with a credit card, but now itās not available to the public. A real bummer given the desperate need up there.
canāt imagine why Green Mountain Power would do that
Rates vary so widely by state, with New England and Hawaii the worst. Owning my Lightning in the mid west would be a lot cheaper than here in Connecticut.
But after 2 years of ownership, itās still the best truck Iāve ever had ā¦ā¦and will get much better once the Tesla adapter arrives š...
Anyone else finding their Charge Station Pro cutting off a charge session at 94% when set to 100% ?
this just started happening to me, when trying to charge to full the night before a trip. I wake up at 6am to find CSP stopped charging during the night, at 94%. When I hit theāCharge to 100%ā...
itās the 38 quart. Wanted the bigger one but that was too tall for the frunk.
I use it both ways , as split freezer/ fridge, and without divider as all fridge.
I never really messed with the factory settings on the temps, maybe I should have : )
But it seems to run fine, keeps ice cream cold...
this bodega in the Frunk has been awesome for camping.
And the hot plate makes a mean grilled cheese on top.
The Lightning rocks as a camping vehicle. 20k miles, 14 months. Loving every minute of it.
Way to go Ford !!
Never camped before - now we do all the time.
I never thought that Iād...
yep- those are the ones.
they were awesome too. Great grip - HUGE improvement over the Grabber all seasons , and not much range loss , maybe 5%.
I did the whole package through Costco- me not being an expert at rims or tires, but the tires paired up well with the 18ā rims they put them on...
yeah I got turned down at Costco for winter tires that only had 115 load ratings.
They wouldnāt budge on it,
but then they found me a set that had 116 and it all worked outā¦.
Well Iām a year behind on getting my Lightning to the top of Mount Washington, butā¦ā¦
could I be the first to fry up a grilled cheese inside the Frunk of a Lightning at the top of Mount Washington ? š
yeah thatās my dilemma, a bike rack that the sensors donāt sense, and so the truck would lower the tailgate right into it, if the power tailgate were accidentally activated, damaging both the tailgate and the bike rack.
Oh let me count the waysā¦. š¤£
operator error happens believe it or not.
having an option in the menu to disable the power tailgate seems to indicate thereās others who have a similar desire to shut off that feature for whatever reason.
Maybe Iām a fat fingered klutz, but itās happened.
A...
thanks for the tip. I hadnāt seen that before in the controls menu.
I tried it and it seemed to work fine for disabling the tailgate opening button on the dashā¦.but not on the key fob.
when I tested it, the key fob overrode the setting selection to manual that I had made for the tailgate in...
Is there an Option to turn off the power tailgate ?
Looking to see about Disabling the button on the key fob and the dashboard, so that the tailgate isnāt accidentally opened, ( in my case to avoid the tailgate from banging into a trailer hitch mounted bike rack).
