I’m not trying to blame anyone and have full faith in the dealership I’m at. I’m just bummed/frustrated that I’ve already been without the car for over 45 days between two issues.
I’ll soon find out what the ETA is on this and figure out next steps after that.
Same - I seem to recall he said one came in right around when I picked mine up. Was that you?
How long was yours in there? I’m really hoping it’s a much quicker turn around this time.
Here I go for round 2 (presumably). First time dropped off truck on 2/14 and received back on 3/17, fix was a High Voltage Battery Module Replacement. To Ford's credit, that time they proactively reached out to me as the truck must have phoned home and notified them of the pending issue...
It’s like I don’t own the same truck as him. Him saying you need to use the app to charge the car and all his charging issues? Besides the occasional anxiety about whether EA will be working I have almost none. I just plug in at home, chargepoint at work, or EA/EVGO if traveling, and if just...
Thx for sharing.
Great job on yours - you’ve made your Lightning look as cool as many of us hope to do to ours.
Time for me to take the range hit and do the lift and ATs, and presumably copy your light bar. Thx for sharing and please do post a pic or two from nighttime when you have
This looks sofaking good. Super tempted to do something similar to my antimatter blue, though doubtful I’d spring for the PPF as I’m too cheap.
Did you consider smoking the light bar instead? My least favorite part of the entire truck is how cheap the plastic looks (though looks much better on...
Neither from what i can tell. Truck has been rock solid. Sounds like it’s an involved and potentially time consuming process, so not related to waiting for the parts.
5/30 build week and just dropped mine off. Was told could be 4 weeks. Hoping I can at least get a new/better loaner as the 66k mile Nissan Frontier I got from Enterprise isn’t quite like the $90k Lightning with massaging seats and all the bells and whistles.
I've been asked to use my Lightning to power a large inflatable at a fundraiser next week. There will be thousands of people there, and I really want it to work!
I'm being told that a 3000 watt generator is what the vendor w/ the inflatable requested. They also said it's a standard 120V plug...
Sorry - been MIA from the forum while the truck has been (and is still with) the dealer. Nothing concrete to say right now, but they are being very thorough for sure (and parts aren’t easy to get). Hope to get it back soon - I miss my baby.
My biggest knock on my Antimatter Blue Lightning is the white light bar - to me it looks especially cheap during the day against the dark paint (I’m not as opposed to it on the lighter colors). Either way I’m hoping the shop I go to for my front window tint will be able to do it too.
It’s a fair question and one I can’t disprove. Reminds me of a post on one of the Lightning forums about sudden acceleration and the aftermarket rubber mat could plainly be seen on the accelerator when the OP posted a picture.
I can tell you that there have been times the hood hasn’t closed all...
This is kind of my thought. No matter how the system is designed to work with primary and secondary latches, ultimately the system allowed the truck to get in a precarious situation, and it would have been completely avoided if it was a latch and not a button.
I do want to say I still...
100+ degrees and many hours on the river after the draft…my middle aged body can’t take that much craft beer, but I do love my IPAs. The bonus is the Ultras double as water/hydration.
The issue here is the accelerationis so fast that if something/someone triggers it at low speed you could easily be at 30 mph or more before it’s unlatched and lifting. The driver then naturally rapidly brakes/decelerates since they see nothing and you have a projectile launching out of the...
I certainly can’t rule this out unequivocally. What I do know is the frunk was fully closed when I left and that there wasn’t a warning when I started driving.
While watching the traffic and pulling out I was watching the street and not looking at my dashboard, and jostling could have happened...
I’ve been thinking about this. Given this theoretically shouldn’t be able to happen from what I’ve read on other threads, I don’t see how this could be anything but a warranty claim. If they say otherwise then it’s essentially acknowledging this the frunk should be able to open itself at a high...
I’ll definitely be doing that. Heading to bed now, but as luck would have it things got worse with the opening and closing tonight…definitely needs some work (have it on video and can try to post it tomorrow - upload didn’t work for me).
