This video covers the installation of the Stealth behind-the-seat subwoofer packages. This vehicle is 2022 F-150, so when installed into a Super-Duty or older F-150, it might be a little different.
Yes, the phone camera does weird things, much better in person.. We can do it either way, both look great in person. Here is what it looks like with just the letters lit up (Not Lightning, but you get the idea)
If you plug in the ZEN USB, then disconnect from the internet, type in ZEN into your browser and you can adjust the chimes.
The weird artifacts sound like something with the factory infotainment. Did you run a ground from the battery and ensure the ZEN, amplifiers, etc only use that...
For road noise, the plates will make a marginal difference. For sound, it makes a big difference and helps resolve the "boomy" midbass performance since it adds rigidity to the door itself and prevents the back wave of the speaker from colliding with the front wave.
Got it, could be acoustical problems... As volume increases you could have standing waves that expose themselves as volume goes up. If this is the case, changing the placement of the vent could help resolve this. If a sealed enclosure, placement of the subwoofer itself might help.
Just a thought
Got it, so the front doors do not have a "Roll-Off", but rather a crossover that protects the speakers. The KeyLOC programmed at volume 14 on the radio, along with the gains on the amplifier set properly (Test tool, not by ear), it will create a linear response. If you have too much bass on the...
Yes, nothing will fix the bass roll-off if you are using the factory subwoofer signal. The roll-off is coded into the amplifier and no device can distinguish between music going down in volume and the coded amplifier pulling down the music.
If you use the factory subwoofer signal, everything...
If you are only adding a subwoofer, you will need to use a Kicker KeyLOC to analyze the factory signal and restore the low frequencies properly.
For the grabbing of the signal, you will utilize a T-Harness that connects to the ACM in the dash and feed that to the Kicker KeyLOC and then to your...
I'm sure everyone knows of this problem and everyone is fighting to fix it. We have been using this method for a long time, but just now had time to add it to our website so you can purchase it easily. It's the same setup that we use on our packages and is the proper way to fix the bass...
Thanks for the review, patience, and the trust in the "small subs" :) Hard to think such small drivers can do so much and as they "break in" over time, you will have more output along with smoother transitions in between the bass notes. Enjoy it and if you need anything, let us know!
The built-in line output converter is perfectly sufficient to handle the signal, with no need for duplicate converters. Depending on the subwoofer enclosure you chose will depend if you need to correct the signal or add a bass boost.
I would connect what you have and start to listen. Try to...
