I don’t think it’s the iPhone. I just got back from a 10 day road trip with my wife. We took her 2022 Acura MDX. I connected wirelessly for most of the trip and never had CarPlay drop or lose sound. I think something is going on with Ford’s Sync. Ironically, the wireless charger in the MDX works...
I’m using this one. I really like it. You will need to provide your own MagSafe charger that will insert into it.

I tried the network reset today. I also removed my phone from sync and deleted the truck from CarPlay. Basically a fresh start. The third time I started the truck after the reset…no sound. I was bummed.
About two minutes later the phone disconnected from the truck and then reconnected. Sound...
On longer trips, I use ABRP and PlugShare. I use Apple Maps to monitor the traffic but when I figure out what charging station I want to go to next, I put that into the Ford native navigation so it can precondition the battery before I get there.
I have a round trip route that I make at least once per month. It’s about 190 miles round trip for my ER Lariat. I usually charge to 100% before I make the trip in case I want to make some additional stops. If I make no additional stops I usually arrive back home with at least 30% charge. I...
I've gotten this "electrical system drain" message twice in the last week, and two or three times before that in the last six months. I had my truck at the dealer for a different issue and asked them to look into this today.
After running some diagnostics everything appears to be fine, but the...
That's it! Nicely done. BTW, it's page 349 in the 2022 manual. The only strange thing is that I'm not trying to connect to a trailer. It must just be there all of the time?
I thought that would be a good idea too, but it doesn't appear every time I put the truck into reverse. I just now tried it, and it doesn't show up. It's a circle with the hand and a "P" that you can toggle on and off. It will change from blue to white.
I have searched all over and I can't figure out what the hand with a "P" symbol is when you put the truck in reverse. It's on the 15" screen when the camera is active.
I agree with the optimistic range. It's 15Âş and the GOM is estimating 280 miles with a 90% charge. Before the update the estimate was more like 210 miles. Much more realistic range from my experience in the cold weather. I would also like the previous estimates back.
