I have a Uniden R8 installed to the left of the mirror and hardwired into the mirror power along with my dashcam, and it's amazing. It has an incredible detecting range and I can't complain. While I would take the Uniden R8 any day, there are a ton of good options.
I tried FSD 12.3 a few days ago and it's insane. It isn't perfect, but I never had to disengage and I could tell it's a major improvement over v11. It is so nice to set the navigation system and the car just drives to the destination. I wish BlueCruise would at least take in Navigation inputs on...
That is where the camera is housed. All Lightning's are currently shipping with this unit and it is for the active safety features. Even if your truck isn't equipped with BlueCruise, it still uses this camera for features such as AEB, LKA, etc.

Since 6.13 only made changes to the Driver Monitoring system, it hasn't changed the way BC drives. In terms of eye tracking, it has always been super accurate, and I haven't noticed much of a difference other than it might be slightly more accurate.
