  1. December '24-December '25 Driving Data

Thanks! I'll be needing new tires soon. I've used Defenders on my previous truck and my wife's vehicle and always had good luck. I wasn't sure how they'd perform on our heavier EV trucks. Good to know you're satisfied with them. Thanks again!
  2. December '24-December '25 Driving Data

Great information, thanks for giving us something to compare with our own personal experience. Which Michelin tire did you select?
  3. Ford and Class Action Lawsuit regarding downgrading Lightning

I don't know if the allegation is true or false. My '22 Platinum felt somewhat slower when merging onto a highway after I had my 30K maintenance, which included a ton of dealer installed software updates. I'm really not sure because I don't push my truck hard (At 75 years of age I'm more...
  4. Is your truck making new dings and gong sounds?

I just had my ‘22 Platinum truck in for 30k maintenance. The dealer updated the software in a bunch of modules while it was there. I noticed the tone changes immediately after picking up the truck after the service. No other work was done other than tire rotation.
  5. Ford (and Brian) want your feedback on F-150 Lightning Forum experience

Completed. Brian, I requested in my survey response that Ford please increase the time the driver can use the volume control dial for setting the fan speed, heated seats level, cooling seats level, etc. The time is way too short to safely drive the vehicle and make the desired selection before...
  6. Should I avoid a used ‘22?

My ‘22 platinum has been the best vehicle I’ve ever purchased - and I’ve had some damn good F-150’s. If it was damaged in an accident and the insurance company totaled it, I’d try to buy a used ‘22. That being said, you need to be acutely aware of range limitations and your driving...
  7. Wanted to say thanks

I recently joined a Hyundai forum for my wife’s new Santa Fe hybrid suv. Straight away I noticed two things: 1) you are correct about the kind of people on this forum. The Hyundai forum has more of the “other kind” you mentioned. I love the Lightning forum and the people that contribute to help...
  8. Ram says the Ramcharger REEV is just right for the electrified age

I think it will be a good choice for some buyer’s needs. My Lightning perfectly satisfies all my needs so I’ll be keeping it as long as possible. One point I haven’t seen made is the ice rpm’s. OEMs must design the engine for constant rpm’s to satisfy generator demands. Even inverter style...
  9. Seeking input on range of new Lariat

I agree with everyone's tips on how to get the most range. I have a '22 Platinum and this is my 3rd winter with the cold temps of New England. Nearly 3 full years of data consistently show I can only count on 62-65% of the GOM range after it has been charged. I drive mixed highway/city and...
  10. PSA: Get an Additional BlueCruise Year for Free (2022 and 2023 Models)

You're correct. I went back into my account and looked at Blue Cruise and saw the original expiration date - and the renewal showing. So I should be all set but a confirmation email would still be nice!
  11. PSA: Get an Additional BlueCruise Year for Free (2022 and 2023 Models)

I just signed up thru the Ford pass app and it worked for my '22 Platinum. My original trial was scheduled to end in October, 2025 and now it's October, 2026. I took a screenshot as recommended here on the Forum. Not sure how long it takes to get the email confirmation, but I'll be keeping a...
  12. It's All About the Delta (and Temperature, but the BMS will Protect You) -- Test: Effect of temperature on battery cells life

Thank you, MICKEYAO! I really appreciate all your efforts to educate us about our batteries. I don't always understand everything I read the first time, but the info is there and as my knowledge base grows, I can return to it and understand more. I hope you continue to share your expertise...
  13. BlueCruise Pricing Lowered For Both Annual & Monthly Fees

Wait a minute, Ford! You said: " New pricing will be $495 annually and $49.99 monthly." Don't you mean: "... or $49.99 monthly."???? Your wording means the total price for the year is $1,094.88 ($495 + 12 X $49.99). Really? Regardless, I will not pay more than $20.00 per month, even...
  14. Pathway Lighting time - how to adjust?

I have the same problem. The lights stay on for 10 minutes before they shut off - even though I have the auto lamp set to off. Lots of people in our campground stop and inform me about the lights being on but I tell them it’s ok. The truck has a mind of its own. I’ll be going for my 20,000 mile...
  15. Did you buy an extended warranty?

I have only purchased 4 extended warranty’s for vehicles, including the one from Granger for my ‘22 Lightning. The money I saved on two of the vehicles (an ‘87 Aerostar and a ‘13 Sienna) more than made up for the cost of all four extended warranty’s. Extended warranty’s are not an automatic...
  16. Plugshare Bluecruise Survey

I agree. I will not pay FORD those prices for BC. However, I could see myself paying a nominal amount to encourage Ford to improve the functionality and to provide OTA updates with BC improvements.
  17. Ford Charge Station Pro vs ChargePoint Home Flex, Juicebox, Etc

I had the same network disconnect problems as Thunder1809. I called Ford and they had me run a few tests while I was on the phone. The disconnect problems did not go away. After a couple of weeks I was notified that they were shipping me a new FCSP unit. The new unit was installed and has...
  18. 10k mile service/check up...

I will be scheduling my 10K service soon. In addition to the regular service, did anyone have their dealer check other items (not warranty repairs) such as software updates that are not OTA?
  19. Coasting Downhill Maximum Recharge

Here's my experience with multiple 40 mile roundtrips we have taken in very hilly portions of Vermont. The results are for driving in Normal mode and 1-pedal mode. The outbound leg is mostly uphill. I use an average of 9% of battery charge for this part of the trip. The return leg is exactly...
