You can get paint-to-match mirror caps and door handles from any Ford parts department to directly replace the molded black ones. Then you can get them painted at any body shop or DIY to color match. They swap out pretty easily and some internet searching will give you guidance videos and...
Hi all,
I had purchased a BakFlip MX4 as a Christmas gift to myself and then decided I was going to sell my Pro Lightning so I never put the cover on. I never even took it out of the box. I sold the truck a few weeks ago and now trying to sell the cover locally to avoid the shipping cost to...
Congrats! And this was an unsold mannequin almost a year later!? Either it was stuck on Ramp 51 forever or the dealer forgot about it on their lot. It's probably VIN .....00711 ;)
For what it’s worth I got 3.5.2 a few weeks after delivery so mid-September. Then nothing until end of January when the updates started rolling - five between Jan. 21 and Feb. 9. It caught up to 4.1.1.
Hi all,
I have decided to try and sell my 2022 Lightning Pro SR as the Standard Range battery is too limiting for my job usage. I do there-and-back trips to customers where the majority aren’t close to a DCFC so I’m limited to about a 90 mile radius. I hope to sell this and then find a new ER...
You can buy the paint-to-match handles from any Ford parts site or at a dealer and get them painted at your preferred body shop or paint them yourself.
The Ford app is well above average. Tesla is the gold standard for mobile app functionality. This is based on owning VW ID.4, Polestar 2, Tesla Model 3, Ford Lightning, and then relayed experience from my brother with his Hyundai Ioniq 5.
All apps including Tesla have room for improvement.
I went the other way, putting OEM 20” in place of the 18” on my Pro. I don’t have a lot of basis for comparison as I only had the 18’s on for about 400-500 miles but efficiency seems close.
But like you said there is an error now due to the diameter difference and so speedometer, odometer, and...
The premise is I don't have an argument nor am I debating facts. How you characterize what happened is your prerogative as it is mine but I made no claim about better or worse and I made no claim that Musk did or didn't fulfill his promise. Sheesh.
This is starting to derail the intent of this thread but the Model 3 history is fully known and there is no need to make a point. The $35k Model 3 never existed. A Model 3 priced at $35k was later offered.
The $35k Model 3 was announced in February 2019, made available to order in March, and...
The "$35k Model 3" never existed. It was supposed to be a truly decontented Model 3 like the Lightning Pro. It was supposed to have a smaller battery pack, a steel roof, smaller basic center console, cloth seats. What Tesla actually offered was a price-reduced Standard Range Plus with a...
I am sure there are exceptions in the marketplace but EVSE rated for 48A at 240V are primarily hardwire installation only.
Particularly as it relates to Ford and the LIghtning, the Ford Mobile Charger is 32A max output at 240V and it comes with a receptacle. The Connected Charge Station is 48A...
Not much of a "test" when the testing period was a month.
I have driven EV for my job with similar use patterns. An extra 1-2 hours a week at a DCFC is pretty minor and a worthy trade-off for the benefit of not ever having to deal with and be around diesel fuel, engine oil, DEF.
I recall @Ford Senior Master looked them up and told us the price buried pages and pages ago. You’ll want to find some take-offs. They are a small fortune as new parts from Ford.
