I was having the moonroof rattling issue just 6 months into my new Lightning Lariat and found a quick and surprisingly effective fix in the ICE F150 forums that pointed to this YouTube video. Works a charm and costs $7 (AMZ) and 10 minutes time - including cleanup.

Honestly - I have not even tried to configure Meross with Carplay - I'm just pressing the steering wheel Siri button and giving the voice command "Open Garage Door x". I have a triple door garage so I'm guessing the carplay integration as you describe it would be frustrating to me also!
Update (long overdue) on my Meross w/Homekit install.
One item that was not clear to me was this: Assuming you have an iPhone - If you install the non-homekit version of the Meross - it will work with Siri (even from your steering wheel press) IF you are connected to the same WIFI network as...
Most travel trailers don't have a hitch receiver (frame mounted) and rather put a hitch receiver on the rear bumper - which won't support the weight of two eBikes. Most recommend not putting anything over 50lbs on these. They are typically 4" square light gauge hollow aluminum tube - not good...
I was looking at a pair like the first you linked above - they are definitely a possibility - I'd need a pair for either side.
In any case, if I face the front forks foward and angled in - it looks like I could shut the gate (saw a few customer pics in AMZ doing this). Worst case remove the...
Thanks for that. I don't think it will work for me as I'll be towing a travel trailer and the front tire and fork would likely get jammed up with the hitch, propane tanks, etc. on the trailer. Cool design though and great idea.
I'd use bumper but I'll have the travel trailer attached many times. I've seen a few like this one, but wondering if others have already tried and have recommendations?
I've got an old iPad I no longer use - may try that as a PoC and then buy better hardware if it seems like the right approach:
To use Apple HomeKit, you'll need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running the latest iOS, along with at least one HomeKit-enabled device. For controlling devices when...
My pleasure - always geek out on this kind of thing and was glad to share my work. I'll update when I get the Travel Trailer out of storage (May 1) and install the cam :)
I hear you. I've got ORBI throughout the house - I've got a detached garage so I lit it up with the Airport in bridge mode to extend that network (via hardwired / ethernet between).
