  1. Update: F-150 Lightning Fast Charging Tesla Adapters Start Shipping TODAY Per Ford!

[EDIT: found conf email] Am I remembering/understanding correctly that with the below order number I’ve got a few years (or at least many monthsleft to wait 🤣 Order Number: FAE:90034541 Ford site says August, but I presume that’s a Ford-esque optimistic estimate I’ve not been following...

  3. Cybertruck light towing range test - 115 miles !

if that’s in reference to I guess all I have to say is: I don’t feel I’m doing anything more/less than I’ve done with the Lightning for 2 years sift through the brand tribalism, FUD, and claptrap to understand what these trucks really are/arent if that same tribalism/FUD/claptrap makes me...
  4. Rally stripes installed on Iconic Silver Lightning

Is that the stock hood?! Looks good in silver
  5. Austin owners

Ah, my purchase was pre MSRP increases. I didn’t have to contend with it. Gordon is the head guy, and I’ve found him to be simultaneously kind and old school car sales person trust but verify. In all, I think there are far worse folks than Gordon to deal with.
  6. Austin owners

yes. Paid MSRP if that’s what you mean you’ll still get all the normal pitches for add-ons
  7. 50,000 miles - What a long, strange trip it's been.

you’ll get an annoying ding and notice on dash can’t miss it
  8. 50,000 miles - What a long, strange trip it's been.

great write up, and thank you. I’m on the other end of the spectrum, taking delivery about the same time as you, but with almost exactly only 10% of the mileage did want to chime in on the quote above I feel like this is something we BEV truck owners need to better understand and explain to...
  9. 50,000 miles - What a long, strange trip it's been.

@ me, too it’s been in the shop for it and they just say they can’t find codes @Ford Motor Company - everyone’s air dam glitches constantly, please send help
  10. Towed 25' Hi-Lo Travel Trailer to Hickory Run State Park... Lightning pulled great! (Better than Rivian)

does the truck know it’s a hi-lo? Because the towing range hit isn’t weight, it’s drag a hi-lo’s relatively low drag makes is an excellent choice for EV towing
  11. Austin owners

thats great I’m the inverse case: signed up for the plan but don’t work near one, so I’m just burning money … keep forgetting to cancel
  12. 'Project T3' Next-Gen Electric Ford Truck to be built at BlueOval City

Y’all are wild for thinking Ford is looking to have multiple, overlapping, platforms of BEV trucks. Meanwhile, Ford’s spent the past 10 years narrowing its focus and increasing scalability. Developing multiple overlapping platforms and building/retooling multiple plants for those platforms...
  13. Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat Range and Fast-Charging Test: Better Than Platinum [Motortrend]

I think what’s the confusion is you talk about a “3hr drive time” but you’re really describing a 4-hour+ real world drive with the middle portion consisting of a 3hr stretch of 75mph sustained hwy driving? no EPA rating contemplates this sort of conditionality on range, ICE included The...
  14. Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat Range and Fast-Charging Test: Better Than Platinum [Motortrend]

under what real world conditions, exactly, is this not presently possible in an ER Lightning? I’ll admit I live in TX, so it never really gets below 30° - but even then I believe I could comfortably make the 3hr drive from NW Austin to SW Houston no problem “doing 70” In part because a drive...
  15. STAR WHITE F-150 Lightning Photos & Club

it’s why I went Star white
  16. Austin owners

  17. Email From Ford "related to Customer Satisfaction Program 23H01"

23H01 is the internal recall code for the battery module issue contact the Ford rep, not a dealership it should go much better for you May even come with some perks
  18. 'Project T3' Next-Gen Electric Ford Truck to be built at BlueOval City

a rising [interest rate] tide raises all [used] boats :D but also, yes, demand for new BEVs is skyrocketing into limited supply, which helps to generally stabilize used prices - especially for Tesla, who makes very few between-year iterations within its models But I suspect 7 year old Chevy...
  19. Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat Range and Fast-Charging Test: Better Than Platinum [Motortrend]

because it doesnt for 90%+ of driven retail vehicle/consumer drives in the U.S. (eg commuting to work, etc.) people are able to drive however the hell they want otherwise, if people dont understand how EPA ratings work, or the basics of driving a BEV shaped like an ice cream van, then they’ve...
  20. 'Project T3' Next-Gen Electric Ford Truck to be built at BlueOval City

no, Ford has been very clear and careful in its wording around this the new, ground-up BEV truck will be an “F-series” truck, as is every full-sized truck Ford makes. we don’t know what the “series” badging/nomenclature will be. But this makes sense, insofar as the new BEV truck will be more...
