Yeah, I watched the video. Their first partner company is an electric motorcycle company, but they've also partnered with an EV startup that has a skateboard platform prototype already in the works. I'll be interested to see what they come up with.
It does seem like 800V architecture is more...
So I stumbled accross this video tonight and I figured it was worth sharing. I'm arguably more skeptical than most and still am of the mindset of "I'll believe it when I see it.", but if this is legit, this gives me a lot of hope for the future aftermarket upgradeability of our trucks and how...
I'm assuming you've tried a 12V reset? (Disconnecting the negative terminal of the 12V battery for at least 5 minutes and then reconnecting) Give it a try, you've got nothing to lose.
I've never needed a module replaced (knock on wood) but I've suffered a deep discharge event where two...
NEW VIDEO!! Due to serious health issues and life getting in the way, the long anticipated conclusion to my summer road trip was impossibly delayed. My apologies!! But better late than never, it's finally here!
Follow along as I make it the rest of the way from Indiana all the way to...
Try a 12V reset.
1. With the truck shut off, disconnect the negative battery terminal and leave it disconnected for at least 5 minutes.
2. Then reconnect and start the truck.
Some settings may need to be readjusted, but if it was a minor software glitch it should be fixed.
Depending on what gen your iPod is, the procedure varies, but you can put the iPod into disk mode just using the click wheel/buttons. If it's a 5th, 5.5, 6th or 7th gen (iPod Video or iPod Classic), you can put it into disc mode by shutting it off and then pressing and holding the center select...
This morning on my way to work, I was stopped at a light and a Rivian pulled up next to me. He looked over and had a stupid grin on his face. Normally I am proud to drive the Mercury Marauder, but the truth be told, I felt a little wave of embarrassment flood over me. Like I was driving a flop...
I really hope he gets back to you on that, it'd really be cool knowing which truck was the final truck. It's too bad it didn't get a send off like the final Crown Vic did in 2011.
No I was seriously asking a question, though, is this a truck that has actual pictures or is it just a placeholder listing for a truck that will never be built?
Thats what I was saying, that transmission tunnel housing space is not insignificant. There's definitely space there for an engine. Now what size engine, I'm not sure.
Just visited Smail Ford, the truck is still there! I talked with a salesman, he was saying they got the truck about a month ago.
Got a picture of the production sticker on the window and the door jamb sticker:
This is something I've said from the beginning and one of the reasons I planned on keeping my Lightning long term from day one. It's a body-on-frame design with a battery pack that's held in with 18 or 19 bolts and it just drops out. Almost no other EV on the market has a battery that's so...
