That sounds like the shifter interlock actuator. There must be an issue with the range sensor in the shifter causing it to engage and disengage rapidly.
Well of course they wouldn't design the system to operate under immediately dangerous conditions, but charging to 100% absolutely accrues more wear and degradation on the cells than 90% or 80%. And the longer it is held in this state, the more harm is done. Does this cause the battery pack to...
Thanks to @Yellow Buddy for his original post on the subject, but here's some info on finding the kits, just plug in the F250 part number for the kit you're looking for on ebay and you should be able to find what you need!
I got the "D" kit with just TPMS and Cam since my trailer is 16ft total...
Oh and whatever you do, don't go to Monroeville Ford. They're under new management, so maybe they'll improve, but I've heard nothing but bad things from people I've spoken to and from my limited interactions with their sales team, they're awful.
I haven't had any major issues with my truck, but every minor issue I've had, they've taken care of without any issues. Even when they broke my 12V battery cover, they replaced it no questions asked.
And in this case they're prepared and knowledgeable. Just got off the phone with them and...
Got my camera mounted, ran the wiring forward and mounted the TPMS module in the A-frame. A bit tedious and definitely use plenty of zip ties and wire loom tape to ensure the harness is secure and protected from chafe points, but there is nothing really technically complex if you're not too...
Thus far, I've been more than lucky that despite navigating through torrential rain, blizzard snow and driving sleet, I've never experienced the water intrusion issue on my rear lightbar since I drove my truck home in October of 2022. And so because my schedule is pretty hectic, I've been...
I'm glad this might mean a faster turnaround for the repair, but given how tight things are and the catastrophic nature of the failure, I'd be concerned about any contamination or debris left behind by such a failure. Even with a full flush of the fluid, there's no guarantee they'll have...
Good to know, probably how I jacked up a couple of mine. Funny how they work differently than every twist-lock type plastic panel clip ford has ever used before.
