If more vehicles were built with V2G technology and workplaces had two-way electric charging, EV’s not in use could help power the grid then recharge during off-peak hours. This would of course require batteries to have 0-100% cycles several times their current lifetime to prevent loss of charge...
I wonder if it’s enough of a controlling share to peek behind the curtain at proprietary software and hardware tech. Rivian does the experimental initial launch of a feature, then Ford copies it, makes some sensible tweaks, then releases it on their new models or with an OTA update.
Out of curiosity I emailed about half a dozen of those "MSRP" listings. They were all either already reserved (one of their customers put a deposit on it) or the actual asking price was $20k-$40K over MSRP, but they listed MSRP as a hook. Nobody is selling a showroom or "mannequin" F150...
Good Lord, they removed a lot of stuff for a price increase. You'd think they'd have one or two low-cost niceties to add to the MY2023 rather than making it almost objectively worse than the 2022 model for more money.
The worst part is the forced $80974 for the XLT ER. A $21500 increase over the SR that also disqualifies the truck for the tax break is brutal. Essentially a $29000 premium to add 90 miles of range.
Just so I understand: this is a window for already existing reservations to order, right? It’s gonna be 6 months to a year before they accept new reservations since they’re so backed up?
