Am I reading this correctly that for $395 more than the 3-year option that was previously offered, you can now get an option that lasts for the life of the vehicle? If so, where is the option to pay the difference? Asking early adopters to pay $495 per year on top of the $2,100 already paid sure...
Sorry for the late reply. My understanding is that it was the main coolant line that was cracked. The service center did not provide details on where the line was cracked, but we noticed what we later presumed was coolant leaking underneath the frunk.
Definitely get it checked. It appears that some trucks come from the factory with the coolant below the minimum line (presumably due to air bubbles). However, ours had cracked coolant lines that led to a slow leak. You can also buy a bottle of the coolant to keep on hand, if desired...
Does anyone know if there is a way to turn Blue Cruise on or off based on the user profile? We have profiles set up based on the key fobs and for one profile Blue Cruise works as it always has. However, for the other profile, Blue Cruise has recently not been engaging when on the highway and...
Got the truck back after the dealership had it for a few days. They pressure tested the coolant system for 6 hours, drained it, and refilled it. They were not able to find any leaks. They think it had an air bubble in it after it got fixed last time that caused the level to drop.
I previously posted a picture with the battery temperature gauge high after a fast charging session. Below is a picture of the motor temperature gauge high due to a leak in the coolant system.
It had only been 2.5 weeks since it was repaired and they refilled the coolant system. There was barely any coolant visible in the reservoir. I had to take the cap off and look into it to confirm that there was coolant and that it was not just the coloring of the plastic.
There is occasionally...
I checked the coolant reservoir this weekend and it was nearly empty again. I bought some coolant and filled it to the line. It is slowly but surely leaking a little bit each day. Back to the shop it goes.
The service notes say the coolant lines are frame mounted and that the high voltage battery and body mounts were removed to replace the lines.
Yes, I did check it before it was towed. I could not see any coolant in the reservoir (picture below).
I agree that a sensor should be present. It...
Update: We had the truck towed to an out of town dealer that could look at it far sooner than our local dealer. The issue was caused by cracks in the coolant line that allowed the coolant to leak out. Once they diagnosed the issue, they got us a loaner vehicle. They ordered the part, completed...
The way the gauge was moving at first definitely made we wonder if the sensor was having issues. It acted more like I would expect for an actual heat issue on the return trip.
I was running around to some kid activities last night and all of a sudden the motor temperature gauge started to show that the motor was overheating. I was about halfway through a 25 mile drive. It kept bouncing between the normal midway point and being overheated for the remainder of the...
It does indeed move. This was on the return leg of a road trip after the third stop to fast charge and the temperatures that day got into the 80s. It also went up, although not quite as high, after the fourth fast charge that day.
1. No quick access button for the cameras. The truck is big and I use the cameras a lot when parking or maneuvering in tight spaces.
2. BlueCruise constantly goes in and out on my commute. The commute is mostly highway and about 50 miles each way. BlueCruise goes in and out probably 6+ times...
