Mine died two months after getting it. Moisture (not condensation) entered the light, freezing temps…it stopped working. It’s the one thing I wish wasn’t on the truck…. The plastic always looks cheap. The front especially.
I suppose so, but the same could be said for life insurance and I’m pretty happy to report that hasn’t been a great investment! ?.
I guess I could eat a $10,000 bill if my new vehicle was totaled and I needed to pay off the existing loan. But then I’d also need to come up with a new down...
I read a lot of post about the depreciation of our trucks and always find them odd.
I never look at my vehicles as an investment so depreciation is kind of irrelevant. I expect it to lose a lot of its value to someone else…to me it’s still my truck, and it was worth every penny!
I always get...
I like the center console setup. My F250SD had a column shifter(meh), my MachE & Palisade have the rotary knob. My 2011 F150 had a center console shifter…personal preference I guess!
But as far as the retractable shifter, who uses it? The only time I ever hit the button is to show someone a...
Still holding at 1.7mi/kWh With 827 mi. Mix of freeway at 80mph and city. When I slow down to around 70mph, I’ve see 2.1mi/kWh. On the Grabbers I had 2.0mi/kWh over 7000mi.
The problem is it’s cold now and that 7000mi included a winter and a summer. So we’ll see. If I had to guess, I think...
update: I have about 750mi on them…got my first flat. Strange damage. Wonder if someone was shooting at me? ?. Discount tire has one on order so hopefully I’ll be up and running in a day or two.
I can report the scissor lift had no issue lifting the truck. My last F150 jack was bent after...
People were getting hurt? At a higher rate than typical cars? Again, my Palisade was as quiet as my truck! Again, the warnings inside this truck are tenfold of those I had in my 2019 F250 and it auto brakes in reverse if it detects a pedestrian. The biggest risk is someone might walk into my...
uh, yes…I realize that pedestrian isn’t walking on the freeway. ?
No one is going to listen to the hum going forward. It’s pretty subtle. Truly, the fans are louder. Certainly not a child. Defensive driving is the only thing that will save those not paying attention. It’s a nanny state rule...
My Palisade was quieter than my Lightning. The fan noise can be quite loud externally. So no, it’s not selfish. Illegal, perhaps but so is doing 85mph in a 75mph. Plus, the 20 sensors and alerts all will still work. Judging by the knuckle heads with their faces in their phones and AirPods...
I pulled the trigger on the TOYO III EV’s 275/60/20
I’ve only run them to work once so the impact on range when compared to the Grabbers is still TBD.
I was more worried about the noise.
The Grabbers at 80mph 63dB
The Toyo’s at 80mph 64-65 dB (reading kept fluctuating. There is a noticeable...
Larger wheels are the issue. I have a max tow Lariat…326 mi range at 100%. Irl with freeway driving its probably closer 300. I’d expect the same drop from the Platinum down to 280 or so.
I didn’t have any overheating issues but I did get the dreaded charge fault. Battery Module 5 was bad. Dealer said there were 20+ fault codes thrown. I’m on week 5. Battery module finally showed up on week 4, buttoned everything back together and the OBDII harness was throwing a code. They...
The dealer replaced mine under warranty and the errors disappeared. I was skeptical at the time, I was pretty sure it was software that needed tweaking. But 6 months now with no errors!
Still a bit odd we’d need to turn off a “feature” in order to get it to stop misbehaving. A work around yes, but the wiper recall was supposed to fix random wipes too. ??‍♂️
