The solution is clear if they want to go back to an old school approach
  2. How often to charge to 100%?

With a SR battery and a commute of over 100 miles a day (plus kids activities), I charge to 100% about 4 times per week out of necessity.
  3. PT-25.13.12 : Charge Port Func. & Cold Weather Performance

Got mine yesterday morning at 1am while it was charging. Happy it didn't stop the charge. Sad it wiped out my location, charging schedule and departure times. Those are easy to fix of course, but I'm just happy to be getting updates again. It's been a while.
  4. Lightning E-Rev 690 to 700 mile range

Maybe it's just me but this is how I see the EREV. No go for me.
  5. BMW i3 EV debut. 440 miles range is impressive

Until I see an actual owner of the vehicle post they are getting a legit 440 miles, I'm skeptical. I've seen too many companies tout range on a future vehicle only to have it fall short of original estimates. Oh hello Ford....I didn't see you standing there. :)
  6. 2026 Rivian R2 Official Pricing, Range, Specs & Reviews

Still not buying it. I haven't seen one EV pickup that sold for a price even close to the one quote prior to launch. $60k for a mid tier model is more likely

  8. Snow Question

I live in New England and I've had my truck for 3.5 years, haven't run into a situation where I've had to lock the differential. The truck is a pig with AWD...I'm not sure I see the need.
  9. Scheduled Charge Suddenly not Working

Did you use the app to schedule the charge or the truck display? I ask this because in the app I've noticed that my scheduled charge doesn't work on weekends unless I have the "weekend" option checked in the app. It'll just start charging the minute I plug it in instead of waiting until the...
  10. Is the $30k EV Truck Dead?

What does $30k get you nowadays when it comes to a new ride? A Corolla/Civic/small SUV from Kia or Hyunda typically start at $26k and end up around $30k when all is said and done. Was a $30k truck from Ford ever a real possibility? Sounds like more of a pipe dream to me.
  11. Will You be buying the Lightning EREV?

I should have been more specific. Until someone that knows how to build a proper EV truck with a 500 mile range. I wouldn't drive a Chevy if you gave it to me for free. I've owned Silverado's and Sierra's, both of which pale in comparison to the F-150. In addition, the warranty support and...
  12. Will You be buying the Lightning EREV?

I will drive my Lightning until I can't drive it anymore. After that I'll likely go back to an ICE or switch to a plugin hybrid. I won't go back to an EV until someone can produce a Pickup like the Lightning with a minimum range of 500 miles.
  13. Daily Charging Limit Percentage - what's yours set to?

I have a 2022 Lariat SR and during the winter I charge to 100% Mon through Thur (WFH on Friday). My commute is 100+ miles a day and I usually have to shuttle the kids around after work so I typically need about 90% of it. I charge to 90% during the summer.
  14. How long will my brakes last, maybe past my last payment?

I'm at 85k miles on my 22 Lariat and my brakes are fine.

https://www.motortrend.com/news/2025-ford-f150-lightning-ev-second-generation-project-t3 From the article " We expect that along with a second-generation F-150 Lightning that Ford is also preparing to produce a smaller, likely Ranger-sized electric pickup as part of Project T3."
  16. "Gen 2 F-150 Lightning" development leaked in Ford employees' Linkedin profiles

Then why immediately pull the information off their profiles now? If they were 2 years old, I would say the horse has already left the barn.
  17. BlueCruise extension

I wouldn't pay $.05 for it. I enjoy driving too much and the juice just isn't worth the squeeze at this stage.

  19. Fall Mess Check-In (3W Liners Mats Giveaway)

A - 2 B - 2 C - 2 D - 2 Ford Lightning Lariat 2022 With 9 kids my back seat takes a beating year round. Thankfully they are old enough to clean up after themselves(for the most part), but young enough that I have to go over it again when they are done :)
  20. Ford App update is terrible

As someone who has had issues with the "Charge scheduled to start" feature displaying correctly in the app, I don't like the removal of that feature. My charging is scheduled to kick off at 11pm during the week. There have been times where the start time would show as 7:30pm the next day...
