I've been thinking about getting a cover for my Ligntning to use when we are expecting freezing weather. Has anyone tried one of these? Any recommendations on a good one?
The exact same thing happened to me. Took it in, left it for a day, picked it up and they had not fixed any of the warranty/recall items. They told me they only had me scheduled for the service. When I told them I specifically made the appointment to get the warranty/recall items fixed, they...
This happens to me frequently. About 50% of the time, when I first start the truck, either the camera freezes or the whole display goes black. This has been going on for months. It resets itself after about 30 seconds but that doesn't help me when I'm trying to use the camera to back up...
I took mine in for CSP work last week. They installed all of the parts for the heated steering wheel but could not actually get it to work. The button appears on the console but the heated steering wheel will not turn on. They told me to take the truck back and they would work with Ford to...
I completely disagree that "driver's side is the most convenient for plugging in". It is only convenient for people with driveways or garages, etc. Having it on the driver's side makes it impossible for people who live in cities and have to park on the street to charge. I have to park...
I had the same issue with my EZPass when I first got the my truck. I had mounted it in the dark area of the windshield. I had to move it to the area that wasn't darkened. This fixed the problem.
November 2022 Lariat ER. 7,500 miles. Still love it as much as the day I drove it off the lot.
But, gotta admit, I still have some range anxiety. In the fall I will be taking about 4 trips to visit my daughter in college about 500 miles away. I won't drive the truck because I can't find...
In my opinion, putting the charging port on the driver's side was the biggest design flaw on the truck. I live in a city and have to park on the street. When parked legally, the charging cord will not reach around the truck to the charging port. Even if it would reach, I don't think Ford...
Mine is doing the exact same thing. I have it mounted in about the same place but I do not have any tint on the windows (because like another responder I am also in VA). But about 5% of the time my transponder doesn't read and I get a nasty postcard from the EZ Pass people.
Immediately after I got my most recent software update on my MY23 Lariat ER Lightning, the display screen started losing power when I start the truck. This happens in two ways: 1) either the display has no power when I start the truck; or 2) the display will have power when I start the truck...
Thanks for all of the useful information (and the laughs). I am a newbie with my MY23 lariat Lightning (only 5K miles instead of 50K like you) so I am still learning a lot of the information you shared. But I love this truck! Hope I still love it as much when it hits 50K.
I was driving home from breakfast this morning and had a HUGE iced tea with me, no lid. So big, it wouldn't fit down into the cup holder. So, I had it sitting precariously halfway in the cup holder and was holding it steady with my hand as I drove. Of course, the 3 seconds during which I...
It has recently started doing that to me too. Most often it is soon after I start the truck but sometimes it happens randomly when driving down the road. There are no alerts, nothing pops up, it just chimes for no reason.
The charging port door is the worst design flaw I have identified on my Lightning. Why put it on the driver's side? Does Ford only want to sell the truck to people with driveways, or only to people who live in suburbs or rural areas? I live in the city and have to park and charge on the...
I am having same problem. I started a separate thread earlier, I copied it below. This explains my problem, how I tried to fix it, and what Ford said when I called about it:
A few days ago, my FordPass app stopped talking with my 2023 ER Lariat Lightning. It no longer updated mileage and...
