Every single F150 owner, ICE of Lightning, has scratched B Pillar piano black trim like yours.... no getting around it-
The good news: You can easily polish those with a good clear coat polish and random orbit polisher. Mine were trashed as well at delivery.
Why don't the auto makers make the primer color match the actual vehicle color or at least close so you don't see rock chips? We have been making cars for over 100 years and can't figure this out?
(except the Cybertruck maybe. Lol)
I have been making it a bit of relaxing task whenever I have purchased a new Ford to inspect the engine bay wiring and "pull off" all of the loose, broken black friction/masking tape pieces that seems to be everywhere. I don't think it is a problem... I think these are pieces of tape that the...
Here you go-
I had a chance to really look at that piece when I had to raise the Frunk tub to upgrade my emergency Frunk release glow in the dark assembly (upgraded to a 2024 part) You might have to remove the Frunk liner to get to this piece which was pretty simple (10 bolts and 1 wiring plug)...
I just looked at my 23 and it has that piece right above the LVB door... looks like maybe to catch water from the "gutter"that runs behind the trunk hood. Thinking if you got your head inside the LVB hole and looked up, you might see where the plastic pins live.
I see... Thanks for the feedback-
I have been wondering if my rain sensing feature is working or not. Light to moderate rain... No wiper.
Something else to worry about! Lol
Would you happen to recall that thread? It would be interesting to take a peek... would love to learn more about this. Searched but didn't really find anything relevant.
Much appreciated-
This makes sense.... it would be real nice if this Frunk behavior could be confirmed by Ford. It would also be nice if it was discussed it the owners manual (PDF)
I'm sure a lot of folks leave the Frunk open all day. I guess you just have to manually close it at that point.
I have never seen any...
I have commented one this before... If I leave the Frunk open for let's say 6 hours, It will not close no matter what I try. Fob, rubber Frunk button, cab button, truck locked, unlocked, Fob near by, fob far away... nothing will allow me to close the Frunk! All I get is multiple "beeps" and...
I had to order the whole plastic panel just to get the classic twist fasteners... My cover was the bigger one though. I believe "maybe" the smaller twisters may be available separately?
Dumb.
Is there any new info on this issue?
I have been experiencing this problem for a while... Frunk won't close after being open for a while. Only way to close it is ti do it manually.
Seems like a big glitch!
To me, it looks like the smaller outer twist clips are available, but the exploded part view is showing that the clips are part of the entire cover.
This is real nice... a very fragile attachment system with the easily broken part not available unless ordering the whole cover. I believe $135.00...
