  1. Feeling a bit screwed over by Ford...

I agree on the dash, lots of wasted space. By the time I get my non foundation DM, hopefully the attention will have died down. Legacy canā€™t currently produce a software defined vehicle using current software and off the shelf hardware/supply chain. Most Legacy BEVs have 12V LVB and OTA...
  2. Feeling a bit screwed over by Ford...

Most criticism of CT is based on pics/vids. CT must be seen in person to fully appreciate. The build quality, size, materials, and technology put CT in a class of its own. 0-60 for DM CT is fast enough for this size of vehicle. Most reviewers have said itā€™s plenty quick. The Pro Tesla...
  3. Feeling a bit screwed over by Ford...

MKBHD has 20 million YT followers combined across his main and Autofocus channel. Does anyone even blog anymore in 2024?
  4. Feeling a bit screwed over by Ford...

The social media pendulum swings both ways. This guy was in my feed for a while and was all praise for CT. Manufacturers are now at the mercy of social media platforms. MKBHD basically tanked Fisker with his statement ā€œThe worst car I ever reviewedā€. The influencers are becoming more powerful...
  5. NACS Adapter Now Available + Ford EV Owners Can Now Charge on Tesla Superchargers in U.S., Canada! šŸ™Œ

Wow šŸ¤© crazy interest (21 pgs) in Tesla SC. The product is only as good as the service apparently. Thanks Tesla for increasing the value of my truck overnight! We have breached the walled garden, let the games begin.
  6. NACS Adapter Now Available + Ford EV Owners Can Now Charge on Tesla Superchargers in U.S., Canada! šŸ™Œ

Do you have to be enrolled in BlueOval to order adaptor? All I keep getting is ā€œconnected servicesā€ with no ability to order. Ford should have mailed these adaptors according to purchase dates.
  7. 100% EV now...

2 TMYā€™s and a Lightning. Non foundation CT dual motor will replace Lightning once prices drop to sub $80k. The CT is the best vehicle I have ever seen in person. Itā€™s seriously impressive and pics donā€™t show that. I am also spoiled by Tesla OTAā€™s, autopilot and lack of service required.
  8. Feeling a bit screwed over by Ford...

I would be upset if my new truck had no heat and possibly more problems. Tesla addresses most recalls OTA and I have never had to get service . Itā€™s crazy how ill prepared Ford is at addressing issues with their BEVs. Many posts on these forums are complaining about poor dealership...
  9. Recommended Ford Dealer Greater Hartford County CT

I have a faulty 12V BMS (NL3T-10C652-AD and need to get it replaced with part ML3Z-10C679-B) and other recalls I need addressed. Calling around to local Ford dealerships isnā€™t encouraging. What dealer is best equipped to service electric vehicles?
  10. 2024 DC Fast Charging Speed Limited to 120kW at EA?

I should have purchased Uber stock last year when I noticed a huge influx of ride sharing BEVsšŸ˜©. Stock up 116% past year. Uber needs their own charging hubs at this point.
  11. Article: How Ford’s F-150 Lightning, Once in Hot Demand, Lost Its Luster

It also doesnā€™t help that some dealerships still donā€™t have EV certified techs. My local dealer has 2 locations and the one that is 5 mins from me is worthless to me. Seriously, why canā€™t Ford provide mobile service like Tesla? Iā€™m not bringing in my truck in for recalls and also failed OTAā€™s...
  12. Article: How Ford’s F-150 Lightning, Once in Hot Demand, Lost Its Luster

There are a multitude of reasons for the slow down in sales. The Lightning is too well built. The economics never made sense due to battery costs. Rising interest rates eliminated Lariat trim buyers Ford needed for sales. The dealerships donā€™t really want to sell BEVs. The media has put a...
  13. Range issues..... 2023 Ford Lightning Pro SR

The Lightning uses a PTC heater that takes a very hard knock on the range/battery during cold weather. WeberAuto on YT showed how inefficient these type of heaters are. If you run with your heat on high and also need the A/C for dehumidification, it can use up to 9.5 kW/hr. If the Lightning...
  14. One Year Anniversary - 2023 Lightning Pro SR Ownership

As an 2023 Pro owner, I agree with most of your points. The Lightning is super comfy and a great road tripper. I donā€™t think itā€™s fair to assume EA is the worst company. Without EA, most of your trips would not be possible. The network was reliable prior to the huge COVID uptick in BEV sales...
  15. Should Ford Have Their Own Fast Charging Hubs?

When we transitioned from props to jets, they sent all existing planes to Canada. Seriously though, most people default to easy and gas is still that.....familiar and easy! Most on this forum must have a pioneering attitude or chose the not easy route, especially yourself for towing with a CCS...
  16. Should Ford Have Their Own Fast Charging Hubs?

Is that what you interpret from my post and comments? I have been driving exclusively BEV's since 2017 and was charging at EA when they were ghost towns. That isn't the case anymore. I am very comfortable and knowledgable with charging and road tripping BEV's. It's the new to EV owners that...
  17. Should Ford Have Their Own Fast Charging Hubs?

We need DCFCs now, the roll out is too slow! Day 1 of Lightning launch, chargers should have been in the ground. Call me skeptical that dealerships will follow thru in the time frame or quantity required. ICE Ford trucks are the revenue generator and it's "back to business" for many of them...
  18. Should Ford Have Their Own Fast Charging Hubs?

Ok, Ford cut Lightning production 2x due to declining growth of sales. I don't see these DCFCs at any Ford dealerships near me. If they do have them, they are not readily accessible to the public or are used by the dealership. Additionally, dealerships don't welcome visitors after hours...
  19. Should Ford Have Their Own Fast Charging Hubs?

I will gladly take more DCFC installations irregardless of their design or factors you mentioned. We need a lot more chargers. Farley road tripped a Lightning and seems to have a good idea about what the average EV driver needs and the state of the CCS network. At one time the coverage of...
  20. Should Ford Have Their Own Fast Charging Hubs?

Maybe it's time to consider it! Why not control the charging experience? https://electrek.co/2023/01/05/chargepoint-and-mercedes-benz-team-up-to-bring-hundreds-of-fast-charging-hubs-to-ev-drivers/
