Sounds more like intermittent wipers than rain sensing. My rain sensing seems to have gone away after the heated steering wheel update and all I have now is intermittent. The APIM still lets me slide the switch for rain sensing “on” but it doesn’t affect how they work. Also lost my courtesy...
Did you notice if your “Courtesy Wipe” was also inoperable after the steering wheel heat add? Both my rain sensing and courtesy wipe are no longer working.
