I think I will just charge it to 50% and leave the 12 battery hooked up but leave a battery tender connected to it. Then just bring it back up to 90% when I get back. Thanks
Thanks for the answer but my question was has anyone noticed that after an update (months ago) that now if you leave your truck plugged into 240 but dont actually drive it for a coupe weeks have you also lost the ability to connect to it with the App? It wasn't that way the 1st Winter I left it...
We go away for a few months during the Winter. 1st year left it in unheated garage plugged in. All winter I was able to monitor it from my phone. Next winter year after BMS changed after a few week in storage I could not connect to the truck via the app to see condition. Sent son over to look...
has anyone found a car shop that will turn on this feature for you? Not comfortable buying the equipment and doing this myself but would pay someone to do it for me.
Sorry I may not have been clear. As you know there have been many comments on how people are trying to find the easiest/cost effective way to be able to power our homes in a power failure. I don't have solar or anything exotic. The unit from PGE out west seems to be the simplest answer but we...
Terrific info. I never saw this before. I will need to contact Teso and my local power company. This is
obviously the best solution to use our Lightnings during power outages. Thanks for posting this.
Has anyone confirmed which company is making the PGE unit (model) so we can try to source it for our Homes not using PGE somewhere else in the country.
Agreed but I think the 1st step is making sure PG&E accepts that it will work with Lightning. Once that get confirmed I could go to my local electric company and ask for approval to install. I would have to pay for it of course. With the increase of EV ownership and the increase in demand for...
I am not concerned abut getting it thru the PG&E program. I live in the midwest. It it can be approved by PG&E I would try to source if from the MFG directly. Maybe thru an electrical supply house near me.
So does that mean we still can't confirm that the Lightning is approved by the power company as a backup generator? That per PG&E (plus others) it can be used as backup power with the PG&E device by just plugging it into the PG&E device without further wiring? It it was approved I would start...
I had previously found the info about the batteries being made in S. Korea so that passed the 1st test. The real question all along was about the percentage of correct materials and where they are mined to see if they passed that 2nd requirement. It's only 2 more weeks to find out for sure.
All I can find is that the Feds will release on 4/19 the list of vehicles that will qualify for tax credit based upon their specific battery info. We will both keep our fingers crossed
I don't need the snide remarks from some of you. I am only looking for info in print. I am inclined to...
