Curios to see if this is another motorized variant. I have a non motorized on the way only because I wasn’t able to find any of the previously mentioned motorized part numbers in stock.
I’m not sure if this constitutes hijacking the thread, but I’m curious to know if there’s a consensus on which rotary shifter to purchase (or avoid). I’ve skimmed through a few threads, and it appears that some may not work well with features like auto hold.
I’m glad some space was saved for my truly dumb question. You put the shocks on the front instead of the rear for example because you wanted a bit of lift?
I disagree. It adds additional complexity and cost. Since most owners don't daily DC fast charge, and even fewer tow, there would be no observable benefit. That being said, I'd still pick it up because it's not a cost-prohibitive option, especially with the heavy discounts reported on the forum...
I get why Edmunds has to do this but I agree these trucks don't really compete for the same buyer. Unless you use someone with tons of money to burn or a YouTuber as a "type" of buyer. The F150 is the actual truck of the bunch while CT and and R1T are lifestyle vehicles with some bed space. They...
I'm still a bit confused by the de-contending choices. So at this point the Platinum gets "accents" and 22' wheels over an optioned Lariat? Seems like a waste of a trim.
I get it. Just saying there are ways that accomplish those emissions standards that don’t include a complete F-Series transition to BEV within 10 years. If you don’t think Ford/GM and others didn’t have their lobbying arms involved in all of these regs you’re being a bit naive.
Not to mention...
I’d only add, Ford is not trying to get every single truck buyer. They’re trying to get the most profitable, and ideally as they scale that focus expands. Ford cannot afford (lol) to electrify the entire F series and they won’t be able to for quite a while. I mean technically they could afford...
I'd disagree on the biggest battery possible and as of last year so did Farley: https://www.theverge.com/2023/5/22/23733215/ford-ev-battery-size-weight-safety-jim-farley.
There's no real point in a 5-ton T3 unless it's meant solely for commercial use. Even then, the battery tech required to...
I was going to say 21 MPG if a third of the trip is done while being towed by another vehicle.
These posts are always a bit surprising as the information is readily available to make an informed buying decision but maybe I just obsess over purchases too much. Infrastructure has been an issue...
I’m mostly confused about people with the foresight to get so far as to coming to a forum to post, before spending the 10 seconds to search. These things are almost never defective in that they give less range than expected, it’s nearly always some environmental variable. A defect would be...
I don't particularly love the look but wouldn't mind if T3 "borrowed" 4 wheel steer and adaptable air suspension. Even if the features were locked to only the premium trims and not standard to keep the price down.
