im currently going through this exact ordeal. My issue occured AFTER the dealer installed the recall modules. They said the charge port shot a code and they have to replace it. They said its not covered by the Ford warranty. im being charged a $250 deductible because i bought the extended warranty.
i too have noticed this. its not instant anymore in normal. Sport feels the same to me. Maybe they turned down the sensitivity on normal to get better efficiency. i have noticed that increased.

After update bcm-24.5.1 installed i checked in settings. no toggles. this is my most recent update that i got 2 days ago. ive tested it many different ways and my doors never lock.
Worked lika charm. Replaced the stock battery with the die hard. plugged it up for my normal hvb charge and let the auto update commence and the update completed
