Update
Truck returned on time last Friday after 17 days in the shop and now charging normally. I got a call from Ford who has been on top of the dealer and keeping me informed. I have not seen the work order describing what work was completed, but it looks like they replaced the dead battery...
Update on Friday April 4- Ford battery team called the dealer today who said they would have my battery issue corrected, but would not have time to correct all the recall issues. They first said they had all the parts, then when I pressed them to get me the truck back as soon as the battery was...
Update, on Monday, I called the Ford battery team (800-392-3673) and found out that my battery module was indeed delivered to the dealer - however the deal will not have a certified tech to install it for 10 days! My $100K brick is there - Ford did agree to reimburse me for a rental car as the...
I had the same thing happen last Tuesday. I am waiting for model #7 to be replaced. I have 33K on the truck - I hope this is not a recurring issue. My wife was almost stranded trying to get enough charge to get home... Ford is not giving an ETA on when they will get the module to the dealer.
My 2022 Platinum with 33K miles had the "powertrain malfunction" a few times - each seemed to correct itself until last Tuesday. Charged at 2 different DC Chargers and could not get more than 20kw, but was able to drive it home.. Plugged into Ford home charger (80amps) and it charged for about 2...
Had the same thing happen 2 times. Both just after charging at a DC charger. Truck wouldn’t go more than 2 mph. Charged from 20%-60%, unplugged, started the truck and got the message. Had to start/stop truck 3-4 times before it cleared up. Until the start was normal, told me to service soon, but...
I think you got it right - it will depend on what is most economically viable for Ford. Most cars/trucks are designed to be replaced in 7-10 years. Ford Lighting will be no different. New features and expensive repairs are the motivations to trade in your old vehicle for a new one... The only...
Just had my 10K Maintenance... Dealer charged $200 and took 5 hours... there are not many EV trained techs and they seem to work their own hours. Probably will take it somewhere else to rotate the tires and replace my own air filter for the 20K.
