Sounds reasonable. But I wonder how easy(hard) it would be to cut the strap? Is it simply a nylon strap or does it have metal embedded?

I own one also. It had 300 mi on it when I bought it April of last year. It was sold as new and although the connected services were activated, the dealer is making it right by extending my subscription services out to my purchase date plus three years.

Loaners are apparently totally up to the dealership. sounds like you are experiencing the same HVB cell failures that has been seen here in a number of Lightnings. Your warranty should take care of it, but it may take weeks to be resolved. Some have gotten their modules IDed and replaced...
