I hear the dings when using driver assist or BlueCruise, and they indicate that either one has temporarily stopped working. Iāve noticed it happens along very curvey two lane roads, when going through toll lanes on an interstate, or when the interstate goes from two lanes to five. Once I get...
Thanks for the update. Your record keeping is very comprehensive. My record keeping only consists of a running spread sheet recording the miles driven and the number of kWh added to the battery. In the summer I can average about 2.6 mi/kWh. In the winter Iām lucky to get 2.2 mi/kWh.
I suffered from this same affliction, until I realized that with my hands on the wheel in the 2 and 10 oāclock position, it blocked the sensors view of my face. I found the solution to be lowering the steering wheel a couple of inches. This gave the sensors a much better view of my face. I...
The Edmunds truck didnāt have to have two battery modules replaced in the three years they owned it. I wonder how their conclusions would have changed if they had.
I generally take it to my dealerās service department every 6 months or 5,000 miles, just as I did for my old F-150 ICE. These days the main thing they do is rotate the tires, but they also give it a good check over. Doing so provides me with good peace of mind.
RocketGhost is correct. I have had battery modules fail twice. I contacted the service advisor I use at Grappone Ford in Concord, NH by email and in the reply he and the technician had already checked that the truck was having a problem, asked me to get the truck to them ASAP, and had reserved...
The GOM is more of a distraction than it is a navigation tool. I keep my eye on the mi/kWh and the remaining percentage battery charge. The mi/kWh varies tremendously depending on the ambient temperature and the terrain. Last February we had a day where the temperature was about -18 degrees...
Fled central NH due to Motorcycle Week for a few days along the Maine coast. Stopped in Kittery and while shopping at the Trading Post plugged in at the new Rivian Adventure Network chargers. Once I had my credit card straightened out in the Rivian app it was plug and play. At one point it...
According to FordāsCustomer Service Program (CSP) 23B57 āLess than 4% of the affected vehicle population is expected to require one or more high voltage battery modules needing to be replaced.ā At the time this program was announced (September 13, 2023) Ford stated that 36,611 F-150 BEV were...
I use PlugShare to plan out in advance my route, charging stops, and where the chargers are near my overnight hotel stops (if the hotel doesnāt have a charger). It works better for me than ABRP. It tells me whose chargers are available as well as other amenities (food, restrooms, etc) at the...
The usual symptom of a battery module(s) failure is the yellow wrench of death icon appears just below and to the right of the speedometer. A warning message appears warning to service the vehicle soon, and when plugged in to charge all the lights around the charging light circle turn red At...
I bought my ā22 Lariat ER in August, 2023. It was formerly a dealership mannequin with 5,000 miles on it when I acquired it. It now has 25,000 miles. The only issue I have had with mine is that two battery modules modules failed, one at 11,000 miles and the second at 22,000 miles. Other...
Occasionally I have experienced the same lack of audio in my ā22 Lariat using my iPhone 16. I connect the iPhone to the truck using Bluetooth. It seems to occur most frequently if I am in a hurry to go when I start the truck. If I patiently wait for about 30 seconds for everything to boot up...
Sounds like they are having to reprogram parts of the charging system to accommodate the new charging port parts. This can sometimes take many hours of a techās time.
Be sure to check the service history of the ā22 for any battery module replacements. Battery module failures appear to be more frequent on ā22 and ā23 MY Lightnings.
