Afternoon All, Given the uncertainty and not wanting to risk my trade going down in value (car accidents happen every day, in addition to wear), I’m likely going to go with a lot Lariat (different dealer) and cancel my 8/14 production XLT ER. Has anyone done this? Anything to be aware of/do...

I keep going back to the fact that they are shipping out a variety of vehicles to make sure dealers have stock. Most dealers have lightnings on the lots (mostly lariats), so lightning orders are low priorities.

I’m assuming it’s still mostly radio silence for 8/14 folks? I think we’re in the window that (unless they have shipped) they may not make it before any strike.

8/14 blend, 8/16 in production, and now no update since 8/18. I’m close to MI, but I’m thinking my pre-strike window may have closed

The off-site line has been common (mostly liners), and seems to be a bottleneck area. There’s apparently no info on when trucks may return from there, let alone how fast they’ll ship when they do.

How were you able to turn “on” the car in the app? Mine says I have to wait until I take delivery (which I presume is sometime between now and 2025)

If I had to put money on it, I’d bet Ford is rushing to ship out any dealer stock it can as a way to build up inventory to hedge against a long strike

At this point, with only a few appearing to go to “built,” and none that have shown as actually shipped, I’m suspecting many of us will get caught in the strike delay. I had ordered an XLT ER, but if it gets stuck in the factory lot by the strike, I may start looking at lariats on dealer lots...

Finally went from lurking to posting. Had a 8/14 blend date and it now shows as in production as of 8/16 (last update was 8/18). Is there any sense of when these may be moving? I understand and can appreciate the QC hold, but you would have expected those to have been done before they keep...
