We want the Frunk, gotta have the Frunk!
Another great feature of the Lightning that needs to be pushed like crazy. Get George Clinton and Funkadelic on this assignment.

And another thing: The solar market in CA has a huge potential market for using Lightnings as battery backups. But not using the Ford system.
Charge during the day using excess solar production. Use at home at night instead of paying PG&E. The way to do this is not with the Ford system, but via...
Seeding the market with Pros is important.
Plumbers and electricians will experience the best of EV life running around town while not doing road trips. They will "get it" and start spreading the word. "I can't believe how fast my new work truck is!!! Don't tell my boss." Fleet managers will...
It was never scheduled for production. I was able to buy a grey SR Pro from dealer stock on 11/27/23. Paid MSRP, had the 9.6 kW power package that I wanted. I'm happy.
Small town in Western NC. No other Lightnings, but one of the people at the two-Tesla house up the block slowed down when they saw the F150L in the driveway.
Immediately got a call with congratulations and a tip for an electrician who can do the EVSE circuit install...
Does the charger selected as destination have to be a DCFC?
If the more common municipal L2 chargers also trigger preconditioning, an L2 charger (near the new EA DCFC charger) could be selected as the destination to trigger preconditioning.
Thanks. I'm in this boat. Still not on the build list as of 11/24/23 pm so I'm now on the hunt for a Pro in stock.
Not sure how the news that the 12/4 build has a lot of dealer stock orders matches up with the story of all the stock orders being cancelled in September to make room for the...
Thank you. I appreciate the detailed knowledge that you share on this forum.
This turned out to be a truck that was ordered for a fleet customer who had accepted the order. Not sure why it was on the Ford "search inventory" site, or on the dealer retail site as being available.
The vinyl...
I'm looking for a Pro. I found a few that were listed with a $46,xxx MSRP instead of a $49,xxx MSRP which seems to be the usual price. Are these fleet orders that aren't really for sale to the public? Is this an indicator of how much margin is available on Pros?
Today, 11/8/23, we got another 45 day robo letter, blaming delays due to supply chain challenges. Maybe there is a shortage of vinyl floor pans, or non-powered seat bases?
I had a Volt when I was too scared to try a real BEV. I leased it so we could get rid of it after 3 years if it was a mistake. Our Volt turned out to be a good familiarizer. I'm sure this Dodge platypus will be the same for plenty of other EV-curious people.
At this stage, I don't want or...
