That is annoying and when I first got the truck I assumed it would be capacitive, until I read the forums and figured out that it wasn't.
Bluecruise is hands-free, so that's not the issue (at least until it drops out of BC for whatever reason). BC wants to see your eyes watching the road...
Hey man so I found that for me it is glasses dependent. I keep a different set of sunglasses in my truck for when I'm driving and the cruise control likes them just fine. Not sure what exactly is different about them; I guess they are less reflective?
Finally got a chance to test out 1.4 this week. Took a road trip from Seattle to Vancouver, BC and back. Lane change worked great, handled corners at high speeds like a champ. Only dropped into regular cruise a couple times. Manually dropped it out in heavy traffic because other drivers...
Not sure about your question, but one thing I noticed when I registered my Lightning in western WA is that it was not subject to the Regional Transit Authority tax, unlike my other vehicles. I looked up the regulations and it turns out that electric trucks over 6000 pounds are exempt! I'm not...
JUST installed this update on my '23 Lariat, seemed to install fine on the first try. Was planning to drive over to my dad's place today so that will be a good time to test it!
I have a Discount story;
I was a customer of theirs for about 20 years, ever since I first started driving. That's where my dad would go so that's where I went, too.
In 2016 I bought a very used 2007 F150 for going up to the mountains, etc. One of the tires had a really slow leak where I would...
This probably isn't helpful but awhile back I noticed a rattle coming from the front passenger door, it turned out that my last passenger had flipped the seatbelt around somehow and the buckle was rattling against the door frame.
Thanks for this! It never did show up in the app, but I checked ford.com and there it was! I now have Bluecruise until October, 2027! Took delivery of my Lariat in October '23.
Got my replacement today, it's the larger (Lectron?) version. I just used the original adapter on Monday, no issues other than the first charger I tried was very slooooow. I tried a different one at the same station (Whistler, BC) and it worked fine. Got the original adapter packed up and ready...
Interesting, I wonder if this is similar to what's going on with my tailgate. Ever since I got the truck it takes at least 3 button presses to open. The first two presses result in a lot of clicking and beeping sounds. Kind of like the truck forgot what position the latches are in. After...
Yep I got the email and see the label created in FedEx just today. Yay! Too bad my road trip is this weekend. Original adapter worked fine for me last summer though.
The Taycan and E-Tron GT are built on the same platform for whatever that's worth; I just think the GT looks better (more like a muscle car). The price tag on both makes me wince, but then look at what I spent on my Lightning.... so maybe ?
Yeah where is my EV Mustang Convertible? Still waiting... and occasionally looking at Audi E-Tron GTs. Has anyone ever had one of those? I do love my Lightning, but here in the city having something smaller would be nice.
Had the "system off to save battery" message after getting 24B56 yesterday. 12v battery tested >12v with multimeter so I unplugged the BMS for a few seconds, not getting the message any more. Thanks all!
Agree this is probably interference related. A couple years back I bought an off-brand bluetooth FM Transmitter for my work truck (since we aren't supposed to modify our work trucks). Noticed immediately that when it was plugged in it interfered with my key fob signal. Also started getting TPMS...
