You are correct. Tax Credit to buyer ONLY APPLIES to a purchase, not a lease. If the VIN qualified then Ford got the credit. They are not required to pass it on to you. YOU CAN’T EVER CLAIM IT ON YOUR TAX RETURN IF YOU LEASED.
