Thanks for that - did not know that
Will turn off automatic updates and just have the dealer do the updates at the 10K service interval.
Appreciate the info!
The battery reports power draw. It goes > 10A. Battery drops to < 50% SOC after about 3 hours of this. Don’t believe the battery is causing the draw on the battery. Perhaps I don’t understand the physics here.
I would lean toward there something wrong with the truck that causes it to start...
That is when I get the message as well.
Plugged in, but not charging.
When charging, the BMS keeps the battery topped off (positive current into battery).
When done charging, it will start drawing from the battery (negative current) for a time and most times goes to zero or there about.
Then...
A weekly occurrence for me.
I solved it by installing an Ohmmu battery and turning off the battery when I walk away from the truck. It has a Bluetooth connection for that.
I don’t have any accessories plugged in at all.
Today: Friday 13th….
Frunk Tamper alarm started going off around midnight - truck was parked and plugged in.
I was fast asleep and did not see it until I got up for work about 3A.
By that time battery was low enough that it shut itself off (Ommu). Did not know it had that capability. But...
Teslas get about 2x the miles per KW than the F150. So your charging rate is the same between the Tesla and the Lightening. Your Tesla is gaining range at 2x the rate of the Lightning
I’m interested in this manual. The web site lists the F150 but does not call out the Lightning specifically. Or am I missing it?
it does call out the Mach e specifically.
Math for this:
220V * 80A = 17,600 watts
some efficiency lost in the conversion and mine says it is charging at 17.1 KW so let’s go with that.
if you get 2 mile per KW (that’s close and makes the math easy), it is 17.1 * 2 = 34.2 miles per hour.
if your charging a MME, it is limited by the...
Definitely.
Would have bought a second Lightning for the wife but she wanted a MME instead.
Best vehicle I have owned.
Not my first rodeo either. Turn 65 this year…
