Just throw away all apps and just use the Tesla App to find a supercharger and have Apple Car Play guide you there. That is what we did from OH to FL and it went smoothly just using the Tesla App. Good luck

Don't use a surge protector, it will error you. I think the 50 amp would work just fine. The Lightning blends in and no one will notice
